About Ancient Egypt Slot
Golden scarab beetles do double duty as both wild and scatter here - and unlike most Book-style games, the wild actually substitutes for the scatter symbol too. That small rules difference means three mixed scarabs (any combination of wild and scatter) still trigger the bonus. It opens up the trigger math in a way that Book of Dead and its clones don't.
Three or more scarabs give you a choice: take a cash prize or play 10 free spins. The cash option scales with your bet, but the free spins are where the game lives. Before the round starts, one paying symbol gets randomly selected as the special expanding symbol. When that symbol lands and contributes to a win, it stretches to fill all three rows on its reel. The key detail - it pays on non-adjacent reels during free spins. Normally you need symbols sitting next to each other left to right, but the expanding symbol ignores that rule entirely. Three Cleopatras on reels 1, 3, and 5 still pay as three of a kind. That changes the math significantly.
Ten separate reel configurations run during the bonus, one for each potential expanding symbol. So the reel strip you're playing on depends on which symbol got picked. Three more scatters during free spins retrigger another 10 rounds with the same expanding symbol. The temple backdrop is all gold pillars and crimson drapes, with flaming urns on either side of the grid. Cleopatra's face is the top payer at 500x per line for five, followed by purple Anubis, Eye of Horus, and the Ankh. Card royals fill out the low end in blue-gold tones. A clean Egyptian-themed setup from 2018 that predates Eye of Cleopatra and most of Pragmatic's later Nile-era catalogue.
