About Fish Tales Double Catch: Max Scatter Slot

Booming has been milking the Fish Tales tank for years now, and this one is the loud cousin. Same lakeside setting, same cartoon bass and pike swimming across the reels, but a new top-end mechanic shoved into the scatter system. The base layout is the standard 10-line Fish Tales build that Fish Tales Double Catch established, with no royals on the reels themselves, the spin grid shows card letters as low pays, but the splash artwork leans entirely on themed icons.

The base game runs two paying paths at once. Fish symbols pay on lines at 3x, 10x, and 50x for three, four, and five of a kind, which is unusually clear pricing for a Booming title. Separately, the Big Net drops at random and sweeps every fish symbol currently on screen into one summed payout. So a spin can pay a normal line and then get a second collection on top of it, that's where the Double Catch name actually comes from, not from any doubled multiplier.

Three or more scatters open Free Spins, and this is where the Max Scatter mechanic earns its title. A regular scatter trigger gives you the standard bonus. A Max Scatter symbol, when it lands as part of the trigger, stacks +20 extra spins onto the count and pushes the spin into the high-end payout pathway. Inside the feature, the Wild takes over the Big Net's job and collects all fish on the grid, with every fish value multiplied by x10. That x10 plus stacked sweeps is the math route to the 10,000x ceiling, identical in scale to what Fish Tales Monster Bass 10,000 targets but reached through scatter pressure rather than the Monster Bass boss mechanic.

Visually it's the calmest version of the series. Misty mountains sit behind the reels, lily pads float at the bottom edge, a small green-and-red rowboat icon shows up among the lures, and dragonflies hover at the corners. There's a sunrise palette of pale blue and warm green that makes the violent 10,000x ceiling feel slightly out of place against the quiet morning fishing trip. The trade-off here is obvious: high volatility, no protected base hit rate, and the headline number only really exists if the Max Scatters cooperate.
