Frogblox splits its playing area into two zones. The main grid is a 6x6 avalanche layout with up to 46,656 ways to win. Above it sits the Feature Shelf - a 2x6 strip loaded with multipliers, bombs, wild generators, and other modifiers. Frogs are the bridge between the two. When a frog symbol lands on the main grid, it looks at whatever sits directly above in the shelf and triggers an interaction.
Eight different interactions exist, and they're all distinct. A frog meeting a Symbol Multiplier pulls it down and applies the multiplier to every symbol in that column. A frog hitting a Global Multiplier adds it to a persistent round multiplier affecting all wins. Extra Drops get pulled down to extend the avalanche cycle. Both Ways activates right-to-left win evaluation until it pays. Big Symbol creates a 2x2 payout or wild in the frog's position. And Bomb - the explosive one - detonates all blockers on the entire feature shelf at once.
If a frog on the main grid lines up with another frog on the shelf, Frogception triggers. The shelf frog activates and interacts with every non-blocker, non-bomb, non-frog symbol on the shelf. That's a single trigger pulling down multiple features simultaneously - multipliers, extra drops, big symbols, all at once. It's the game's most powerful single interaction.
Lily Pads add mobility. A frog that hasn't collected a feature yet can jump to a lily pad elsewhere on the grid and reactivate from the new position. The old position transforms into something useful - a wild, a payout symbol, or another frog. The jumping creates secondary interactions that weren't visible when the spin started.
Blocker symbols fill parts of the main grid, and they're the gatekeeper for the bonus. Removing all blockers from the main grid triggers 6 free drops. Blockers explode when adjacent to winning symbols during the avalanche, so sustained win chains eat through them gradually. Bombs from the shelf clear entire rows of shelf blockers at once, opening up more features for frog activation.
The bonus carries over global multipliers and extra drops from the base game. The feature shelf gets emptied and refilled fresh, then stays persistent through all 6 free drops. Both Ways persists until used. Retriggering by clearing all blockers again adds 6 more drops.
RTP is 94.0%. Hit frequency at 26.8% means roughly one in four spins produces a win, which feeds the avalanche system. High volatility keeps payouts concentrated in extended cascade sequences and bonus rounds. The 25,000x ceiling matches ELK's modern top tier.
The X-iter Frogception option at 25x guarantees a scatter-collect on all frogs for one drop - forcing multiple shelf interactions in a single spin. The 500x Super Bonus starts the bonus with a 10x global multiplier already active, meaning all 6 free drops benefit from that floor.
The Amazon rainforest setting is lush - crumbling stone temples wrapped in strangler figs, colorful frogs hopping across mossy surfaces. The visual clarity matters because tracking frog positions, shelf contents, blocker counts, and active multipliers simultaneously requires attention. Eight interaction types is a lot of mechanical variety for a single slot, and the feature shelf concept gives each spin a vertical dimension that standard avalanche games don't have.
