We don't exactly have a shortage of Ancient Egypt slots on the market. But SYNOT Games' 2026 release, Miracle of Cleopatra, tries to do something a little different. Instead of throwing a million complicated mechanics at you, it puts all its eggs in one basket: a single free spins round where expanding wilds permanently upgrade your symbols.

Miracle of Cleopatra free spins: golden scarab symbols lit up across a winning line on the 5x3 reels, with the upgrade bar above showing four scarabs, a cat and a crown
Once the wilds have pushed the cheap symbols up the ladder, the reels fill with scarabs, and that's where the free spins start paying.

How the Upgrades Work

Getting to the bonus is a very old-school experience. SYNOT didn't include any feature buys or special ante bets, so the only way in is three or more golden pyramid scatters landing on the reels. Those reward you with 10 free spins (plus a small upfront payout of 2x, 20x, or 50x your bet).

Once the free spins start, the expanding wild becomes the star of the show, doing two jobs at once. First, it tops up your spin count: landing one, two, or three wilds will add one, three, or five extra spins to your total.

More importantly, every wild that lands upgrades the lowest-value picture symbol currently on the board to the next one up, and it stays upgraded until the feature ends. The ladder goes from wands to lotus flowers, ankhs, scarabs, and cats, finally maxing out at the crown. There's a handy progress bar at the top so you can track where you're at.

This creates a really fun snowball effect. If you hit a few wilds early on, all your lower symbols are instantly transformed, and you get to play the rest of your spins with a heavily concentrated board of premium symbols. On the flip side, if the wilds decide to hide, you're basically just playing 10 standard spins. It's definitely hit-or-miss, but when it hits early, it feels great.

One wild is all it takes: the wands are gone from the bar and the flower now sits twice at the bottom of the ladder.

Where It Sits in the Market

In terms of its overall vibe, Miracle of Cleopatra sits comfortably in the middle ground between older, simpler slots and the hyper-volatile games that dominate casinos today.

For context, a lot of modern games use expanding wilds but crank the math up to eleven. Riddec Games' Song for Dragon uses a similar wild that also sticks for a respin, but every further wild extends the chain and steps up a multiplier. Pragmatic Play's Ra vs Osiris pushes things even further with walking wilds, 1000x multipliers, and a 25,000x max win.

SYNOT has kept things much more grounded here. By stripping away the massive multipliers and feature buys, the game feels closer to traditional, straightforward releases like Endorphina's Hell Hot 1000 or GameArt's 40 Splendid Sevens. Even compared to other Egyptian slots, like Pragmatic's Luxor of Cleopatra (12,500x max win) or Endorphina's Glory of Egypt, the numbers here, starting with a 95.97% RTP, are pretty restrained.

Miracle of Cleopatra is a game for purists. Without the distraction of multipliers or store menus, the entire weight of the game rests on whether or not you can land enough wilds during the free spins to force the cheap symbols off the board. It won't appeal to players chasing multipliers and buy menus, but if you like a straightforward, fair slot with a clever progression mechanic, it's definitely worth a few spins.

In the base game a wild that misses every line sticks and gets one free respin, but here it stops at one, with no chain and no multiplier.
