About Mole in the Hole Slot
Mining slots usually mean stacked symbols and a TNT pick mini-game. This one ditches both. The 6x5 grid runs on scatter pays - any 8 matching icons anywhere on screen pay out, with bumps at 10 and 12+ - and every cleared symbol triggers a cascade until the wins stop coming.
The hook is what happens to the empty cells underneath. When a symbol participates in a win, the position beneath it gets dug up. Land another win using a symbol on that dug position and it gains x2. Win on it again and the multiplier doubles to x4. Then x8, x16, x32, all the way to a x128 cap per cell. The art on the loading panels makes this clear - little wooden tiles showing x32, x64, x128 sitting next to a stick of TNT. In the base game, all that hard-won digging vanishes the moment the spin ends, which is the catch.
Diggy-Boom Free Spins is where the rule flips. Trigger with 4, 5, or 6+ Scatters for 10, 12, or 15 spins, and now the holes and multipliers stay put for the entire round. A position that hits x16 by spin three is still x16 on spin nine, ready to double again the next time a winning cluster touches it. Retriggers stack more spins on top (4/5/6+ adds 10/12/15). And during the feature, Bombs come into play - 1x1, 2x2, or 3x3 sticks of dynamite that drop in, sit through the cascades, then explode after the dust settles. Their blast radius digs new positions and doubles any multipliers caught underneath. Up to 12 bomb-tagged positions can sit on the grid at once.
Then there's Even Bigger Boom. If a Super Scatter helps trigger the bonus, every single one of the 30 positions starts the feature already dug up with x2 active. You're not building from scratch, you're starting at the wall with a head start, and from there it's pure doubling. The buy menu offers it directly at 500x stake, with regular Diggy-Boom at 100x and a Double Chance ante at 1.4x bet for players who'd rather grind into the bonus through doubled scatter odds. Note there's no Wild in the symbol set at all - the multiplier-on-dug-cells system is doing the work a wild grid would normally handle, which is why scatter pays and the dig logic feel so tightly bound together.
Visually it's warm and chunky: polygonal gems in red, blue, purple, teal and green for the lows; pickaxes, helmets, lanterns, treasure-map signs and a stick of dynamite for the mids; a mining cart heaped with gold and gems for the top symbol. The mole himself stands beside the reels in blue overalls, red bandana and a copper helmet with brass goggles pushed onto his snout, pickaxe over one shoulder. Headed for the same desert-canyon vibe as other mining slots, just with deeper math underneath.
