About Release the Kraken Slot

Any spin in the base game can summon three tentacles above the reels. Pick one, and you get one of three modifiers. Kraken Locking Wilds starts a respin loop where you keep choosing chests - each one either adds more wilds, keeps the reels spinning, doubles all wins, or collects. Colossal Kraken Wilds drops a 3x4 Wild block onto the grid, covering 12 of the 20 positions in one go. And Infectious Kraken Wilds plants at least one Wild that spreads to adjacent symbols, converting neighbors into wilds after the reels stop. All three fire during normal play, no scatter trigger required.

The scatter system here is unusual. Reels 1 and 3 need to land a Kraken symbol, and reel 5 decides what happens next based on which icon shows up. A chest on reel 5 opens the Sunken Treasure Bonus - a pick-and-click round where you grab chests for cash prizes until you hit Collect. But if a Free Spins symbol appears on reel 5 instead, you enter the Roaming Kraken round. Before spinning, you pick chests to reveal +1, +2, or +3 free spins (capped at 12 total). During the round, paylines double from 20 to 40, every Wild that lands sticks on the grid and shifts to a random position each spin, and a win multiplier starts at 1x and climbs by 1x for each new Wild - up to 10x. The round doesn't retrigger. For 100x, the buy option drops you straight into it.

Deep-sea blue light filters through the water onto a wrecked galleon that borders the reels in barnacle-covered wood. The Kraken itself only shows up as the purple skeletal figure on the scatter symbol and through those tentacle animations between spins. High-value symbols are painted sea creatures - a hammerhead shark, yellow angelfish, pufferfish, and a green turtle - while the lows run J through A in mossy gold tones. The first game in a three-part series that later added Megaways and cluster mechanics, this original keeps things on fixed paylines with 20-to-40 scaling and leans on the random tentacle triggers to break up the base game.
