About Rolling Roger Slot

Roger is the only reason this game is interesting, and he isn't a paying symbol. He's a small blue spiky-furred hedgehog who waddles in after the reels stop, then physically rolls across 3 to 15 grid positions before dropping off the bottom of the screen. The rule he obeys is that he never crosses the same cell twice in a single spin. Every cell he rolls over can either pay out as is, or convert one of the low card symbols into a Letter Wild, and that conversion costs 5 acorns from your collected stash.

The acorns are the actual economy. There's a counter in the top bar that fills up to a hard cap of 120, and the acorns are what unlock the Wild conversions, fund the Free Games, and trigger the Autumn Feature at a 40-acorn cost. Each Free Spin you spend during the bonus burns 1 acorn out of the pile, so the bonus round literally ends the moment Roger runs out of food. It's an unusual way of running a free spins feature: most slots cap the round by a fixed spin count, but here the length is a function of how much you've banked beforehand.

The base game pays anywhere across the 5x3, which suits the rolling mechanic since Roger's trail can leave Wilds in disconnected pockets and still count. Wins evaluate from the same symbol appearing on 3 or more reels regardless of position. Reading the rolling action right means watching which cells he passes through, not whether the symbols already there form a payline.

The art runs a bright green forest scene with leafy oaks, dappled sunlight, and a cast of woodland creatures as the mids: a sleepy green frog, a brown owl with round eyeglasses, a purple snail with a coiled shell, and the acorns and butterflies that orbit Roger himself. Card lows sit inside chunky carved-wood frames. The wordmark is grassy green and warm orange, with a real acorn icon attached to the counter up top. It's a 2017 release and the visual language reflects that, closer to the friendly mascot platformers of that era than the noisier feature-stacking studios chasing buy menus a few years later.

One footnote: no ante, no Super Bet, no buy. The only sidebar is a post-win gamble that doubles or loses your last payout on a card flip. Everything else hinges on the hedgehog cooperating with where the rolls land.
