The RTP reality

Standard Pragmatic slots run 96-97% RTP. Oranje Jackpot entries range from 91.91% to 95.50%. That gap reflects progressive jackpot funding - a percentage of every bet feeds the shared jackpot pool instead of returning to players through regular wins. Kroonjuwelen loses over 4% to jackpot funding compared to a standard Pragmatic slot.

Whether the jackpot opportunity compensates for the lower base return depends on session length and jackpot size. On average, it doesn't - progressive jackpots mathematically favor players who hit them and penalize everyone else. But the appeal of jackpot games was never about average math.
