Wisdom of Athena is a Greek mythology slot series by Pragmatic Play, built around tumbling reels and multipliers. The original game came out in 2023. It was followed by a 1000 version that doubled the maximum win to 10,000x, and a Christmas edition to complete the trio. All three games share similar math and a 96% RTP, but the volatility increases with each new release.

Which version should you play?
When you see a "1000" at the end of a Pragmatic Play title, it just means the maximum win is higher. The original Wisdom of Athena has a 5,000x limit and high volatility. The 1000 version doubles that limit to 10,000x and steps up to very high volatility. You still get the exact same gameplay, with tumbling reels and multipliers that build up during free spins. The only real difference is under the hood. The 1000 version saves more of its payout budget for rare, massive hits.
The Xmas edition is just a holiday paint job for the 1000 version. It keeps the same 10,000x limit and very high volatility. We gave it a slightly lower score simply because it brings nothing new to the table, not because the game itself is worse.
If you are trying to decide which one to load up, the 1000 version is the best choice. The only reason to stick with the original is if you want a slightly more forgiving game with lower volatility.
