Bandit Megaways is Gates of Olympus rebuilt on a Megaways engine. Six reels, 2-7 symbols per reel, up to 117,649 ways to win. Multiplier symbols land during spins and tumbles with values from 2x up to 500x. In free spins, those multipliers accumulate into a progressive total that applies to every win for the rest of the round. The formula is proven. Pragmatic Play just swapped Zeus for a cowboy and scatter pays for Megaways.
RTP is 96.55% with no published lower tiers. The 25.77% hit frequency keeps base game spins active, roughly one win per four spins. Max win caps at 5,000x total bet.
Multiplier symbols appear on all six reels during both regular spins and tumble sequences. In the base game, every multiplier visible when a tumble chain finishes gets added together and applied to that chain's total. Land a 10x, 3x, and 500x in one sequence and the combined 513x hits your accumulated wins.
Values range from 2x to 500x. The 500x is rare but it exists, and seeing one land among smaller multipliers creates those moments where the math suddenly matters. In the base game, multipliers reset after each spin completes. In free spins, they don't.
Four, five, or six Scatters trigger 15, 20, or 25 free spins respectively. Scatters stay on screen through tumbles, giving them extra chances to land across a sequence. During the round, every multiplier symbol that hits alongside a winning combination adds its value to a running total. That total persists through every remaining spin.
Start a round, hit a 5x multiplier on spin 2. Total is now 5x. Spin 7 adds a 20x. Total is 25x. Spin 14 adds a 100x. Total is 125x. Now every win for the last few spins gets multiplied by 125x or more. The escalation is what makes it work - early spins build the multiplier, late spins cash it out.
Three or more Scatters during the round retrigger: 3 Scatters add 15 spins, up to 6 Scatters for 30 more. Extended rounds mean more multiplier additions and bigger totals by the end.
The regular buy at 100x guarantees 4-6 Scatters for an instant trigger. The Super Free Spins buy at 500x does the same but sets the minimum multiplier value to 10x. That means the worst multiplier you land is 10x instead of 2x. The possible range becomes 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x.
The difference is substantial. In regular free spins, plenty of multiplier hits land at 2x or 3x, barely nudging the total. Super Free Spins guarantees meaningful additions every time. A round that might build to a 50x total in regular mode could reach 200x or higher in Super mode, assuming similar multiplier frequency.
A 500x multiplier symbol feeding into a progressive system that already sits at 100x from earlier spins sounds like it should produce something enormous. And it would, except the 5,000x cap cuts it short. The math has room for more than the ceiling allows, which is the same tension Gates of Olympus players know well.
The top symbol pays 150 coins for six-of-a-kind across Megaways. With 117,649 potential ways and a stacked multiplier, a single spin late in a bonus round could theoretically exceed the cap on its own. That's by design - the cap ensures the game stays profitable while the multiplier system creates the feeling of unlimited potential.
Base game feels thin between features. The 25.77% hit rate sounds decent, but most wins return small amounts. Card symbols dominate the low end of the paytable (10 coins for six-of-a-kind), and without multiplier symbols connecting to a win, returns stay flat. The independent top row on reels 2-5 that spins right to left is a visual touch more than a mechanical one - it adds symbols to the grid but doesn't change how wins form.
If Gates of Olympus is a slot you've worn out, Bandit Megaways offers the same core experience in a new wrapper with Megaways replacing scatter pays. If you're looking for something that plays differently, this isn't it. Same engine, different paint job, and 500x multiplier symbols that keep the dream alive between dry stretches.
