The odd note is the bison itself. The key art has it charging out of a dust cloud with its eyes wide, and the name promises a stampede across the plains. What you get is a sunny meadow with woodland edges, closer to a children's picture book than the Wild West. The Wild keeps the angry bison head, framed like a portrait hung on a wall, and it is the only thing on the board with any menace in it. Good art, wrong advert.

Sessions run flat and cheap. The best animal pays 120 coins for five across, which on a full 30-line bet does not move a balance much, so the base is a long run of small returns that keep the number ticking without building toward anything. Long stretches pass where nothing lands at all (30 lines, cheap symbols, that is the trade). Then a stampede goes off, four Wilds appear at once, and for a single spin the grid looks like a different game.

The pick is the only moment with any weight to it, and it goes by fast. You tap, numbers come up, and half a minute later you are in free spins watching Wilds shuffle around the grid. How good the round is was decided before you tapped anything, and that is probably the honest flaw in the design: it dresses a random award up as a decision.

What it does well is stay pleasant. Bright board, frequent little hits, low stakes, no dread between spins. It is a wind-down game and it knows it.

A small game built around one idea worth the trip. The pick that configures the free spins is smarter than most of what turns up on a 30-line grid at this level, and Roaming Wilds are the right partner for it, moving each spin so they stay useful all the way through the round. The trouble is everything the idea is bolted to. The base game is thin, the scatter pay is close to ornamental, and the pick turns out to be less of a decision than it first looks.

Genii has bigger wildlife slots than this one. Bear Spirit Bounty reaches considerably further on a similar animal theme. Bison Bonus works as low-stakes filler with a clever twenty seconds in the middle of it, and it does not pretend to be anything past that.
