Import & Sync
How the plugin fetches, stores, and keeps your game catalog up to date.
First Import
After installing and configuring the plugin, go to SlotsReach → Import in your WordPress admin.
Click Import All Games. The plugin fetches the full catalog from the SlotsReach API and stores everything in your WordPress database.
The full import takes 1-2 minutes for the full catalog. A progress indicator shows the current status.
Daily Auto-Sync
The plugin registers a daily WP Cron job that automatically checks for new and updated games.
You do not need to do anything. New releases from all supported providers will appear in your catalog within 24 hours of being added to SlotsReach.
Note: WP Cron is triggered by site visits. On very low-traffic sites, consider setting up a real server cron job that hits yoursite.com/wp-cron.php once per day.
Manual Sync
To sync immediately without waiting for the daily cron, go to SlotsReach → Import and click Download Updates.
The manual sync only fetches games added or updated since your last sync. It is much faster than the first full import.
What Gets Synced
New Games
All newly released games from 35+ providers are added automatically
Updated Data
RTP corrections, new screenshots, updated descriptions, and metadata changes
Removed Games
Games removed from the SlotsReach catalog (e.g. deprecated titles) are unpublished on your site
Demo URLs
Demo links are kept current. Broken or changed demo URLs get updated automatically
Import Speed
The API returns ~100 games per request. The number of API calls depends on catalog size, roughly one call per 100 games.
This is fast and lightweight even on shared hosting. The plugin does not download images during import — only game metadata is stored locally. Thumbnails and screenshots are loaded on-demand via CDN.
