Step-by-step setup from download to your first game catalog page.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0+

Any recent WP version works. Classic or block themes both supported.

PHP 7.4+

PHP 8.x recommended. Most modern hosts already meet this.

Any Theme

The plugin includes its own styles. No theme modifications needed.

Step 1: Create Account

Go to the registration page and create a free account.

Once logged in, navigate to your Dashboard and add your WordPress site domain (e.g. yoursite.com).

Your API key will be generated automatically. Copy it — you will need it in Step 3.

Step 2: Install Plugin

Download the plugin ZIP from your Dashboard page
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
Click Choose File, select the downloaded ZIP, then click Install Now
Click Activate Plugin

You should see a new SlotsReach menu item in your WordPress sidebar.

Step 3: Configure

Go to SlotsReach → Settings in your WordPress sidebar
Paste your API key (starts with sr_live_) into the API Key field
Click Verify — you should see a green confirmation message

Step 4: Import Games

Still on SlotsReach → Settings, click Import All Games. There is no separate Import page — the button is on Settings, under the API key.

This fetches the full game catalog from our API. It takes 1-2 minutes on most hosts.

You will see a progress bar and a confirmation message when done.

Step 5: Add to a Page

Create a new page in WordPress (e.g. “Free Demo Slots”)
Add the following shortcode in the page content:

[slotsreach show_search="true"]

Publish the page and visit it — your full game catalog with search will be live.

Making it look like your site

Settings → Appearance carries two controls, and between them the catalogue stops looking like a plugin.

Colour scheme

Light or dark. Pick the one your theme already is — the cards, the search field and the filter dropdown all follow it.

Accent colour

One hex value. It paints the Load More button, the progress bar and the focus ring. Use your own brand colour and the grid stops looking borrowed.

The grid also reads the width it has been given rather than the width of the window, so the same shortcode looks right in a full-width page and in a narrow sidebar with no settings changed.

Anything beyond those two is ordinary CSS. Every colour the plugin uses is a custom property — --sr-card-bg, --sr-text, --sr-badge-rtp and the rest — so redefining them in your theme is enough to restyle the whole catalogue, and it survives plugin updates because you are not overriding our selectors.

URL Structure

The plugin creates individual game pages at /slots/{game-slug}, for example:

yoursite.com/slots/sweet-bonanza-pragmatic-play

The base slug (slots) can be changed in SlotsReach → Settings → URL Base.

Updating the Plugin

The plugin auto-updates when new versions are released. You will see a standard WordPress update notification.

Manual update: Deactivate and delete the plugin, then download the latest ZIP from your Dashboard and reinstall. Your imported game data is stored in the database and will not be lost.
