About Dragon's Gate - Bonus Choice Slot
The bonus does something most hold-and-win titles don't. When the scatter trigger hits, the game pauses and asks you to pick: Free Spins or a Hold & Win respin round. Same 10,000x ceiling on both paths, completely different gameplay. That decision is the whole hinge of the session, and it hits again every time you buy in directly at 50x through the red Buy bonus button parked top-right of the reels.
Pick the respin side and you're in familiar Pragmatic territory. Money symbols lock to the grid carrying values from 12x up to 600x your bet, with three jackpot tiers sitting in the same symbol pool - Minor at 200x, Major at 400x, Grand at 3000x. Classic three-respin format: land a new money symbol, counter resets to three. Fill all fifteen positions or pull the Grand and you exit with the stack. The jackpot strip above the reels translates those multipliers into live dollar values at your current bet, so at $2 the Grand reads $10,000 - which is also the 5000x that caps the round, the Grand being the single biggest money symbol possible. The Free Spins branch runs a separate dragon-themed round where the specifics only unlock once you commit to that door.
Base game is the standard wild-substitution setup across 50 fixed lines. The wild pays on its own at 20x, 30x, or 80x for three, four, or five in a row - respectable but not where the money is. The premium paytable is also flatter than you'd expect for a Chinese-themed PP release: the Woman in the Dragon Robe tops out at 40x for five, the gold ingots at 30x, lotus-and-bamboo at 20x. Low tiers are calligraphic A/K/Q royals. The point of the paytable is clearly to funnel you toward the scatter, not to win from line hits.
Visually it leans hard into the dragon-gate legend. A jagged temple perches on a misty peak to the left of the reels. Three waterfalls cascade down the mountain face labelled BALANCE, PROSPERITY, and HARMONY in bright calligraphy. Red and blue koi fish swim through the foreground pond, waiting their turn to ascend the gate and transform. The reel cabinet is polished red lacquer with gold filigree at the corners, and the whole scene sits somewhere in the Floating Dragon family of PP Asian hold-and-win releases - just with the bonus fork grafted on as its distinguishing feature.
