Wins run left to right across all ways from the leftmost reel, and the premiums pay from just two matching symbols rather than three, so those tall gorilla stacks convert far more often than the art suggests. Coins drive the game. They land carrying cash values, and a Cash Collect badge on the leftmost or rightmost reel scoops up every coin on the board at once. Land one on each end and the whole board collects twice, once per badge, stacking the total. The Wild covers the paying symbols but never a coin, a badge, or the golden ape scatter.
