If you're feeling a bit burnt out on overly complicated slots, IGT's 10 Dragons Flip N Win (released in October 2026) might catch your eye. It takes a fantasy treasure theme and strips things way back to a classic 3x3 grid. It's a pretty simple game that relies entirely on random triggers rather than the usual scatter symbols to hit its big payouts.

10 Dragons Flip N Win base game: a 3x3 grid of spades, a gem, a crown and a ring in a rope-bound wooden frame, with a red dragon on gold coins and a 10x sign above the reels
Just three reels and five lines, so a win needs the same symbol on all three reels, and the 10x sign on the dragon's pile is the full-screen multiplier, not a line pay.

The Features (and the waiting game)

What really stands out about this slot, for better or worse, is what it doesn't have. There is no bonus buy, no scatters to chase, and no collection meters to fill.

Instead, the main Respins Feature just happens randomly after any spin. When it hits, the board clears, picks one standard paytable symbol, and gives you respins to try and lock in as many of that symbol as possible. The round ends when a spin doesn't land a match. If you manage to fill all nine spots, you get a sweet 10x multiplier on your total win. (If you're hunting the game's 2,500x max payout, you'll need a full screen of wilds combined with that 10x multiplier).

There's also a nice little backup feature called "Flip N Win" that only triggers on dead spins. A coin will randomly drop into the center of the grid and flip up to seven times, revealing a multiplier that climbs anywhere from 2x up to 50x your bet.

In my own playthrough of about 100 spins, I actually never saw the Respins feature trigger. What the coin does do is pay on the spins the lines miss, and that matters on a board where most line wins hand back the stake or less.

The game sells its three ideas on this screen: the coin that pays on dead spins, the respins, and the 10x you only get when every spot on the board is part of a win.

How does it compare?

Where 10 Dragons really shines is in its math. It boasts a very solid 96.81% RTP. That's noticeably more generous than some of IGT's other 3-reel games, like Red White & Blue Tristar (which sits at a low 92.00% RTP with only a 500x max win) or Triple Diamond Super Pots (95.99%). Magic Treasures Hold & Win Panther, another IGT game, has the same 2,500x max win but a lower 95.01% RTP.

If you look outside of IGT, there are plenty of 3-reel respin games out there, like Fazi's Coink Bank, RTG's Winnie the Piggie Las Vegas, or Evoplay's Piggy Bank: Coinstorm. But those games use the standard Hold-and-Win style where coins have direct cash values, and they all let you buy straight into the bonus for around 35x to 50x your bet.

10 Dragons Flip N Win doesn't give you a shortcut. It sticks to locking standard paytable symbols and makes you wait for the game to surprise you with a trigger. Overall, it's a very fair, back-to-basics slot with a great RTP. Just keep in mind that because the features are totally random, it's definitely geared toward old-school purists who enjoy the surprise of a random bonus, rather than players who want to buy their way straight into the action.
