Pragmatic Play dropped Eternal Diamonds back in September 2026, and it's a pretty solid mix of old and new. Visually, it's your classic Vegas fruit machine heavily dressed up in neon lights and diamonds. If the numbers feel familiar from the first spin, that's because they match their own Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark, but the neon vibe gives it a nice, fresh coat of paint.

Eternal Diamonds 5x3 reels with Bells lined up through a diamond Wild on reel 2, and the Multiplier, Expanding and Extra Spin pots above the board
The base game is a plain 50-line fruit machine. The three pots up top are what you're really watching, since that's where the bonus comes from.

It's All About the Bonus Round

Like a lot of modern slots, the base game is really just where you wait for the bonus. You're spinning to collect Blue, Red, and Green chips in their respective pots above the reels, hoping to randomly trigger the bonus.

When it finally hits, the standard symbols disappear, leaving a "hold-and-win" style grid of blanks, diamonds, and chips. You start with three respins, and the counter resets every time a symbol sticks. The twist here is that the colored chips you collected dictate your modifiers:

  • Green Chips give you extra spins, bumping up your starting and reset counters.
  • Blue Chips drop multipliers (up to 100x) onto random spots on the board.
  • Red Chips are the most interesting of the three. After the main grid finishes, every Red chip triggers its own mini-game on a separate 2x2 grid. As long as you keep filling it, that grid can grow up to 5x5. Whatever you accumulate there becomes the Red chip's final value.
Eternal Diamonds Red Chip mini-game: a 3x3 grid filled with nine diamonds and a fourth column and row opening around it
Fill every cell and the Red Chip's little grid grows another row and column. Everything that lands in it becomes that one chip's value.

The Good and the Frustrating

The coolest part of Eternal Diamonds is how these modifiers stack. If a Blue multiplier lands on a Red chip, it multiplies the final expanded value of that Red chip's mini-game, which can lead to some massive hits.

I bought the top-tier 250x bonus, which guarantees all three modifiers are active. Thanks to the Green chip, I started with four respins and managed to fill 11 of the 15 spaces. The compounding mechanics worked beautifully, a 10x multiplier hit a Red chip that had grown to 4.8x, and another 4x hit a chip that had reached 9x.

But here's the frustrating part, and why you have to be careful with this game: the Blue multipliers drop on random cells, not your total win. Two of my 8x multipliers landed on completely empty spaces and paid nothing. Because of those dead spots, my 250x buy-in only returned about half its cost. It shows the massive potential is there, but it can easily fizzle out.

Eternal Diamonds respin board at zero respins left, with x4, x8 and x10 multipliers on filled cells and two x8 multipliers sitting on empty cells
Look at the two x8s with nothing under them. A multiplier on a cell that never fills pays nothing, and on this buy two of them went to waste.

How it Compares to the Rest

If you're a regular player, you'll recognize Pragmatic's "three-pot" setup here. It's very similar to Chests of Cai Shen Infinity, but I actually prefer Eternal Diamonds. It pushes the max win up to 20,000x, and you don't have to pay a ridiculous 750x premium to buy the top bonus.

On paper, it shares its figures with Sleeping Dragon Ultra Dark: the exact same 96.50% RTP, high volatility, and 20,000x limit. (If you prefer scatter-pays, Helios - Triple Sun uses similar modifiers but on a 6x5 grid with a lower 5,000x cap).

There's no ante-bet available here, but you can buy straight into the bonus. 50x gets you at least one guaranteed modifier, 150x gets you two, and 250x guarantees all three.

The most player-friendly thing about Eternal Diamonds is that even the cheap 50x buy has a chance to randomly draw all three modifiers. This means the 20,000x max win is technically reachable for casual players, not just high rollers buying the top tier. It's highly volatile and will definitely hand you some frustrating dead spins, but the compounding mechanics make it an exciting ride when things line up perfectly.

Eternal Diamonds Buy Respins menu with three options at 50x, 150x and 250x the bet, from one random modifier up to all three guaranteed
Three ways in: 50x for at least one modifier, 150x for two, 250x for all three. The cheaper buys can still draw the full set.
