Fast Fox Heist is a farm-themed slot from Pateplay, released in September 2026. I recently took it for a spin, specifically focusing on the top-tier bonus buy, to see how its unique mix of sticky wilds and positional multipliers actually plays out in practice.

Fast Fox Heist bonus board with three masked foxes merged into one frame across the middle row of reels 2 to 4, x2 and x5 multipliers printed on the cells and two golden ducklings worth 10.00 and 5.00 on the bottom row
Three foxes locked in the middle row, and every cell on the board now carries its multiplier: x5 down the centre reel, x2 either side.

How the Sticky Fox Free Spins Work

The bonus round triggers when a fox lands and smashes a house next to the grid. Once you're in, things get interesting. Foxes stick to the middle row (reels 2, 3, and 4) and create multiplier zones. It's not a global multiplier, though; it's strictly positional. If you manage to get all three foxes locked in, the middle reel gets a solid x5 multiplier, the reels immediately next to it get an x2, and the outer reels stay at a standard x1.

The zones don't reset between free spins. Ducklings that got collected leave empty cells behind, and the x5 column is still waiting for the next one.

During the spins, golden ducklings carrying cash values drop onto the board. The downside is that they only pay out if they land inside one of those fox zones. If they do, their value is multiplied by that reel's multiplier, they pay out, and then disappear. You can also land four tiers of jackpot ducklings in these zones. The rules say jackpot ducklings open at the end of the round, but the MINI in my round paid its flat 20x on the spin it landed. However, they don't benefit from the reel multipliers.

The MINI paid right there in the spin, a flat amount that ignored the x2 on the reel it landed on.

Buying the Bonus: My Experience

Pateplay gives you three bonus buy options, all sitting at a decent 96.25% RTP. You can pay 60x your bet for one fox and 6 spins, 100x for two foxes and 9 spins, or go all-in at 200x for three foxes and 12 spins. (There's also Higher Chance, which makes every spin cost 1.5x the stake to boost natural triggers, though it locks the bonus buy panel and its RTP stays at the base game's 96.00%).

I bought the top tier, Buy Mega Bonus, for 200x, and I actually had a great run: it paid out a little over three times what it cost me. Having all three foxes locked in from the start makes a big difference. The board fills up with ducklings, and that permanent x5 multiplier on the middle reel really does the heavy lifting. About 90% of my total payout came from the ducklings alone, with standard line wins just acting as minor top-ups. I had a couple of spins hit 90x my bet simply by stacking ducklings in the multiplied columns.

To be fair, there is one glaring downside: the pacing. Because the game triggers a separate animation sequence for every single collected duckling before paying out the next one, my 12 spins took about eight minutes to get through. If you prefer fast-paced action, this might test your patience.

The number of foxes on each card is the number held from the first free spin, which is really what the price buys you.

How It Compares to Other Games

If you're wondering how it stacks up against the wider market, Fast Fox Heist shares the "Pate Link" jackpot network with Fruit Attack 10 Pate Link (which Pateplay released a week later). That game uses a similar 5x3 grid and collector mechanic, but swaps the sticky spins for a hold-and-win feature on a larger 5x4 board. Fruit Attack offers a higher max win (6,000x vs. Fast Fox Heist's 3,500x) but only has a single 100x buy option and a slightly lower 95.96% RTP.

Mechanically, it reminded me a bit of Fazi's Coink Bank, which also makes it frustratingly common for cash symbols to land out of reach of a collector (though that plays on a smaller 3x3 grid). You could also compare it to Pragmatic Play's Big Duck Splash 1000. Pragmatic's game also uses duck cash symbols, but its hunter collects everything in view rather than restricting you to specific zones, and a climbing multiplier trail applies to what he collects, toward a 25,000x max win.

Fast Fox Heist lives and dies by its positional overlap. It can be incredibly rewarding when things line up in that middle x5 zone, but it can also be frustrating to watch high-value cash symbols land just outside the fox's reach and pay nothing.
