If you're a fan of old-school, single-payline Vegas slots, Spinberry's Top Multiplier (released in August 2024) might catch your eye. It's a very straightforward game with a classic sevens theme, but it comes with a "Deal or No Deal" style bonus board that does something I haven't really seen before: if you wait long enough, it literally makes the smartest choice for you.

The Offer Board: Deal, No Deal, or... Auto-Deal?
The game really revolves around one main bonus feature. You're basically just spinning until the "Top Multiplier" symbol lands on the third reel. When it does, your attention shifts to a board of ten cash bills sitting above the reels, which range from 2.5x up to a 500x multiplier.
The game highlights a random combo of these bills and makes you an offer. You can either take the cash or reject it to try for a better combo, with four offers in all. Once you reject an offer, it's gone for good, and whatever you get on the fourth draw is yours to keep. (As a nice touch, if the top 500x bill is part of your offer, the game auto-collects it and awards you the max win on the spot).
But here is where it gets weird, and kind of fascinating. The game has a built-in strategy guide. It explicitly advises you to collect any offer over 30x on your first draw, 26x on your second, and 20x on your third. If you just sit there and don't press a button for about 20 seconds, the game automatically follows its own advice.
During my playthrough, I triggered the bonus and was offered 60x on the very first draw. The on-screen advice told me to take it, so I just took my hands off the mouse. Sure enough, the timer ran out and the game collected the win for me.
To be fair, having a slot tell you the smartest play is incredibly helpful, especially if you hate the regret of making the wrong choice. On the flip side, having the game actually press the button for you makes the whole "take it or leave it" mechanic feel a bit decorative. It takes away some of the thrill of trusting your gut.

The Math: How It Compares to Other Single-Line Games
While the bonus mechanic is a neat concept, the underlying math is where Top Multiplier becomes a bit of a tough sell.
The game carries a 93.26% Return to Player (RTP) and a max win of 500x. For a modern release, a 500x top prize is pretty modest, and pairing it with an RTP in the low 93% range puts it noticeably below the industry standard.
When you look at similar games, the difference is pretty stark. For example, Gamebeat's Stolbik 777 uses the exact same 3x1 single-line setup, but boasts a much friendlier 96.33% RTP and a 10,000x max win. If you look at Endorphina's Blue Slot Dice, it has the exact same 500x max win as Top Multiplier, but offers an incredible 98.04% RTP to help you get there.
Top Multiplier is a bit of a mixed bag. I have to give Spinberry credit for trying something new with the auto-advice bonus board: it's a genuinely player-friendly feature that spells out the rules' own best strategy at every offer of the bonus round.
However, if you are a player who pays close attention to stats, the low RTP and modest 500x max win might be a dealbreaker. It's a fun, nostalgic game for a casual session, but there are definitely single-line slots out there that give you more bang for your buck.
