Witchcraft Riches is a new magic-themed BGaming slot dated for release on 5 October 2026. At first glance, it looks like your typical 6x5 scatter-pays game, but once you get into the free spins, you quickly realize the multiplier system is a lot less forgiving than what we're used to seeing in this genre.

How the Bonus Works (and the Downside)
Getting into the bonus takes the standard four scatters, which awards 15 free spins (three scatters retrigger for 5 more). You have the usual options to get there: you can buy the bonus outright for 100x your stake, or turn on the 25% ante bet to double your chances of spinning into it naturally.
Once you're in the free spins, the game uses potion bottles as multipliers, ranging from 2x up to a massive 500x. But here is where the game gets incredibly strict.
In most games of this type, you build a global multiplier that applies to your wins. In Witchcraft Riches, the multipliers build up in a "web" next to the board, but to get a potion's value into the web, it has to land on a winning tumble. Even tougher? That running total doesn't automatically apply to your future wins. To actually use the accumulated multiplier, you need another fresh potion to land on a new winning spin.
I bought the bonus for 100x my stake, and it was a brutal run. The initial scatters paid 3x, but over the next 15 spins, even though I saw several potions drop (up to 12x), not a single one lined up with a winning cluster. My multiplier web stayed completely empty the entire round, and I walked away with a measly 7x total return. Obviously, that's just one bad bonus, but it perfectly highlights how easily this mechanic can blank on you.

Where it Fits in the Catalog
To be fair to BGaming, it's interesting to see where this fits next to their other 6x5 games. It's dated just four days after Divine Queen: Power of Sun, which shares the same grid and 5,000x max win, but uses sticky cell multipliers and a much more complicated menu of bonus buys. Witchcraft Riches is definitely a step toward a simpler, cleaner setup, and it does boast a really solid 96.68% RTP.
Still, if you're chasing bigger potential, their Bonanza Billion Merge Up (released 24 September) might be more your speed. It has the exact same betting options but pushes the max win to 15,000x using a cluster-merge mechanic.

The Pragmatic Comparison
You can't really talk about this style of game without bringing up the Pragmatic Play lineage that popularized it. But when you compare Witchcraft Riches to games like Gates of Eddie Super Button or Gates of Olympus 2500, the difference in the multiplier rules is obvious.
In those Pragmatic titles the global multiplier is easier to grow or easier to use on later wins, and their max wins run from 25,000x to 50,000x. Witchcraft Riches requires you to hit a double coincidence: you need a potion on a win just to grow the pot, and another potion on a win to actually use it.
Witchcraft Riches is a nice-looking game with a genuinely great RTP, but players need to know what they are getting into. Because the multiplier rules are so strict, reaching that 5,000x max win feels like a really steep climb. It's a fun slot if you like high-volatility challenges, but be prepared for some frustrating bonuses when the potions and the winning clusters just refuse to line up.
