About Gold Fish Feeding Time! Deluxe Treasure Slot
The Gold Fish Feeding Time series has been kicking around in some form since the early-2000s SG Gaming originals, and the Deluxe Treasure edition is where Light & Wonder bolted a four-tier jackpot onto the familiar cartoon-aquarium formula. Base play stays simple - colourful Yellow, Green and Red Fish swim across a 5x4 grid set against a teal-blue seabed with drifting bubbles, swaying coral, and stylised playing-card royals filling the low-pay slots. One quirk to know upfront: each spin randomly selects a reel set, and only two of the three fish colours appear at a time. Which two you get changes the math of every spin.
The whole game is built around triggering the bonus. Bonus symbols are coloured Canisters (Yellow, Green, Red, or blended combos), and the colour combination that lands fully on the reels decides which of seven Free Spins variants you enter. Single-colour triggers give you the basic Red, Green, or Gold Fish Bonus at 6 to 10 spins. Two-colour Super variants step up to 14, 16, or 18 spins. Land the Green-plus-Yellow-plus-Red Extreme combo and you get 24. It's a wide ladder, and where you land on it depends entirely on which Canisters drop.
Inside the bonus, the interesting mechanic kicks in. A row of coins sits above the reels, and any Yellow, Green or Red Canister that lands fully on a reel awards the coin sitting directly above it. Coins come in four flavours: Prize Coins pay 1x to 40x your bet, Bonus Spins Coins add 2 to 4 spins, Add Wilds Coins drop 6 to 9 Small Wilds onto the grid before line evaluation, and Jackpot Coins award one of the four fixed tiers - MINI, MINOR, MAJOR, or GRAND. At a $1 bet those tiers show as $10, $25, $100, and $1,000, scaling linearly with stake. The Small Wild itself only exists in Green-derived bonus variants, so a pure Red Fish Bonus run won't see one drop.
Top-of-reel coin management has its own rhythm. Collected coins are removed, remaining coins shift left to fill gaps, and fresh ones appear over any empty positions for the next spin. If a free spin produces no Canister landings at all, the coin above reel 1 burns off automatically - so dry stretches actively shrink your collection field. That pressure is what gives the bonus its tension.
Two things worth flagging honestly. There's no buy bonus, so Canister triggers come the slow way. And the 89.58% RTP is genuinely low for an online slot - this is the operator-served default in the 90% variant family, and higher configurations may exist elsewhere, but at this setting the math is firmly weighted toward the house. The 6,500x cap is real, but you need a GRAND Jackpot Coin pickup in a deep Extreme bonus run to seriously chase it. For a long-running underwater brand from Light & Wonder, Deluxe Treasure is the most mechanically loaded entry in the family, and also the one that asks the most patience from your bankroll.
