Aliens raid a farm for its eggs, and the whole game is a slow collection grind. Eggs leave Frames that sit on the board for dozens of spins before bursting into Wilds, while a meter you fill yourself sets the multiplier that lands on the free spins total at the end. The real ceiling is 1,259x, not the 2,200x on the official listing.

Golden Egg Invaders Slot Overview
Aliens have come for the eggs, and the farm is not taking it well. The invasion is played entirely for laughs, but the game underneath is a patient collection grind: every Egg that lands gets scooped up and leaves a Frame behind on its position, and those Frames sit there spin after spin waiting for their moment to turn into Wilds.
The paying symbols barely matter. Five red tractors across a line, the best the paytable has to give, returns 5x the bet. All the value is stored in the Free Spins Multiplier instead, a ladder from x1 up to x10 that climbs only when you have collected enough Eggs, and it multiplies whatever the bonus pays at the end.
One number needs correcting before anything else. The 2,200x ceiling printed on the official listing and repeated across spec pages is not what this game does. It caps at 1,259x, and that outcome lands about once in 50 million spins.
Theme & Design
Bright cartoon farmyard under a wide blue sky, with a red barn crowded by sunflowers on one side and a white picket fence on the other. The five reels are wooden-framed panels of different heights, staggered into the diamond and planted straight in the grass, and a row of sweetcorn grows along the bottom edge. A chrome flying saucer shaped like a fried egg hovers in the top-left corner carrying the collect meter. Up on the right, a wide-eyed hen sits in a nest holding the multiplier plaque.
The jokes live in the background rather than on the reels. A rooster keeps watch from a road sign with a UFO crossed out on it, a turkey in a party hat loiters by the hay bales, and two hens gossip in speech bubbles near the barn. Symbols are thick-outlined farm props: red tractor, orange wheelbarrow of seedlings, golden hay bale, blue rubber boots, a tray of green shoots, then chunky cream royals with corn kernels tucked beside them. It looks like a mobile game and it knows it. Nothing is trying for atmosphere, which is the right call for a slot whose UFO is a fried egg.

Features & How They Work
Frames and the Wild Burst
An Egg landing in the base game is collected at once and leaves a Frame on that position. Most Frames just sit there doing nothing. But an Egg sometimes hatches into a Golden Egg, and then its Frame becomes an Active Frame, which changes what happens on the next spin: the Active Frame turns into a Wild, and so does every Frame beside it. Frames build up quietly across dozens of spins and then convert together in one cluster. Those Wilds last for that single spin and then vanish.
The Collect Meter
Every Egg feeds a meter that runs to 200. An Egg on a bare position adds one point; an Egg dropping onto a position that already holds a Frame adds a random 1 to 4. Each time the meter fills, the Free Spins Multiplier steps up a rung along x1, x2, x3, x5, x7, x10, any excess carries over, and the meter restarts. At x10 it locks full until the bonus is played. All of that progress is bound to the stake you were playing: move from 1.00 to 0.50 and the meter, the multiplier and every Frame on the board are parked against the old bet and handed straight back when you return to it. Nothing is lost, but progress does not travel with you to a bigger stake.
Free Spins
Three UFO Scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 award three spins, and any Frames still sitting unconverted arrive on the board as Eggs. From then on only Eggs land. Each one resets the counter back to three and becomes a Golden Egg holding 0.5x to 50x the bet, so the round keeps going until a spin comes up empty. It is a hold-and-win wearing dungarees.
The Multiplication at the End
When the round finishes, the whole Golden Egg total is multiplied by the Free Spins Multiplier you built in the base game. Fill every position on the board and an extra x2 is added on top, doubling that figure, so a maxed meter on a full board finishes at x20. Three spins would be thin without this attached; with it, the bonus is the only part of the game that pays properly.
Elevate Buys
Two prices on the Elevate panel: 25x the bet for three free spins, or 75x for three free spins with a random Free Spins Multiplier of x1, x2, x3, x5, x7 or x10. That second one is a lottery on the multiplier and it can hand you x1, which stings at 75x. Both run at 96.04% rather than the base 96.13%. Either buy sets your Frames and meter progress aside for the bought round and gives them back afterwards, so nothing you collected is spent by buying.

How It Plays
Long stretches of nothing. An 18% hit rate spread over 20 lines means most spins pay zero and the ones that do hand back a slice of the stake, so the balance drips away while your attention drifts to the meter in the corner rather than the reels. The chickens in the background are having a better time than the reels are.
That is the trade. The Frames give you something to track when nothing is paying, and there is a small kick every time an Egg drops onto a position that already has one, because those are worth four times as much to the meter. The Wild bursts are the base game's only fireworks and they are gone in a spin, often on a diamond grid where the outer reels are three symbols high and a cluster of Wilds still produces a modest win.
Reaching the top of the ladder is a project measured in hundreds of spins rather than a session goal, and the bonus that cashes it in shows up rarely enough that plenty of sessions end with the meter half full and nothing to show for it. So the game asks for patience and pays in one lump, not along the way. The stake binding is the thing to sort out before you start: pick a bet casually, change it an hour later, and you'll likely find yourself climbing the same ladder twice.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Frames persisting across spins give the dead stretches something to build toward
- Every Egg resets the free spins counter, so the bonus can run well past three spins
- Changing your stake parks the meter and Frames instead of wiping them
- Two buy prices, and buying does not cost you the progress already collected
Cons
- 18% hit frequency, and the wins that do land are small
- The paytable is close to worthless: five of the top symbol pays 5x
- The top end is low for a game that demands this much patience
- The 75x buy can roll an x1 multiplier and gut the round
Verdict
The idea is good and rarely built this way. Frames that persist across spins and convert in clusters give the base game a shape most collection slots never bother with, and tying the bonus multiplier to a meter you fill yourself makes the grind purposeful instead of decorative. The art does its job as well, cheap-looking in a deliberate, well-drawn way.
What holds it back is the ceiling. It is a small top end for a game that spends this long asking you to wait, and the inflated figure on the official listing has probably set expectations the game was never going to meet. NetEnt built a clever little machine and then capped what it can pay.
