An avalanche can wipe the reels at any moment. That's the Snow Slide, a mystery feature that fires without warning on any spin, base game or free spins, sending a wall of snow tumbling down the tall five-reel strip and leaving as many as 50 Wild symbols stuck where it settles. Three, four or five scatters hand you 8, 12 or 20 free spins, and the Wilds change character once you're inside. They become Big Freeze expanding Wilds that stretch to fill their entire reel, and the Snow Slide can still strike on top of that. The clever part is the retrigger. Compass symbols dropping on reel five build a wheel needle, and a winning needle spin opens the Himalayas Map. There you get a Choose Your Route pick, tapping a point on the trail to reveal a hidden stash of extra spins.

If you want the avalanche to land more often, the optional Big Bet mode at 20, 30 or 50 stacks the odds: two scatters trigger free spins instead of three, the low symbols vanish at 30, and 50 guarantees a full Wild reel during every free spin. The 250,000-credit ceiling sits at the top, a hard cash cap you can't reach from every stake, but it's the Map pick I keep coming back for.
