Joker Flip is Invading Vegas: Las Christmas rebuilt with a Las Vegas theme. Same math model, same Walking Wild, same flip mechanic, different name and graphics. Play'n GO released it in August 2024 as part of their long-running Joker series (Fire Joker, Love Joker, Free Reelin' Joker 1000). The 5x3 grid sits against the Vegas Strip - hotels, fountains, Ferris wheel in the background.
Classic fruit slot symbols fill the paytable. Four low-pays (cherry, watermelon, casino chips, dice) all share identical values at 0.8x for five-of-a-kind. High-pays split into two tiers: purple gem and gold bell (1.6x), then gold bar and playing cards (3.2x), with the red 7 at 8x. The Joker Wild dominates at 30x for five-of-a-kind and comes in four multiplier variants: 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x.
Stacked Wilds land on the middle reel and start walking right, one reel per respin, until they exit the grid. While walking, the Joker is sticky and leaves 3 to 12 Mystery Symbols on highlighted positions behind it. Those Mystery Symbols can reveal regular symbols or Wilds carrying multipliers up to 10x.
The Walking Wild creates a guaranteed sequence of 3 respins (reels 3, 4, 5) with the Wild locked in place and Mystery Symbols generating new potential wins each step. A 10x Multiplier Wild landing from a Mystery reveal on a line with the Walking Wild produces the game's strongest single hits. But scatters can't land while the Walking Wild is active, so you can't trigger free spins mid-walk.
If reels 1 and 2 both display fully stacked identical symbols (including Wilds) but no win forms, reel 3 gets a single respin. A narrow correction mechanic - it gives one shot at completing a near-miss pattern. It can't retrigger, so it's a one-and-done assist.
Three diamond scatters trigger 12 free spins. The signature mechanic: reels flip their order. The Walking Wild, which moves left-to-right in the base game, now walks right-to-left during free spins. It still starts on the middle reel and walks toward the edge, but in the opposite direction.
This reversal matters because of Mystery Symbol placement. In the base game, Mysteries trail behind the Wild to the left. In free spins, they trail to the right. The flip changes which reels get loaded with potential multiplier Wilds, creating different win line combinations than the base game walk. Whether this meaningfully changes the math or just feels different is debatable - the core mechanic works identically either direction.
The 2,500x max win is low by any 2024 standard, and it hits with roughly 1-in-a-billion probability. Medium volatility means sessions play out steadily without dramatic swings. No bonus buy, no ante bet. You play and wait for organic triggers.
Reviewers weren't impressed. BigWinBoard noted it "struggled to raise the pulse rate" and failed to push beyond what the template slot achieved. The Walking Wild mechanic is proven and engaging - watching multiplier reveals as the Wild crosses the grid generates genuine anticipation. But 2,500x doesn't reward that anticipation proportionally. If you enjoy the Joker series aesthetic and Walking Wild mechanics, it's a competent entry. Just don't expect it to deliver anything the series hasn't already offered.
