Neptune's Quest Slot by Light & Wonder

Two things make this one read differently from the usual underwater slot. The layout splits in half. On the left sit two tall stacked blocks of clumped mini-grids, each marked 50 LINES, and to the right runs a larger reel section. Behind the engine there are actually eleven reels feeding 100 fixed lines, but on screen it plays like a 5x4 board paying left to right. The Wild stands in for everything but the Scatter and turns up anywhere across the reels during normal play. The Scatter is fussier. It only ever lands on the three right-hand reels.

That split is what gives the bonus two separate doors. Match four identical symbols inside one or both of the left-hand clumped columns and the free spins fire. Or land three Scatters across reels 9, 10 and 11 and you get the same round. You can come in through either, sometimes both at once.

Inside the feature the symbols that let you in are locked in place and held for the duration. Any left column that didn't reach its four-of-a-kind gets swapped out for oversized 2x2 symbols, each one counting as four clumped icons at once, which is where the column action starts stacking real value. Meanwhile an Extended Wild clamps onto reel 11 and turns wild every space it fully covers across reels 9, 10 and 11, with ordinary Wilds handling the rest of the board. Catch three Scatters again during the round and you bank five more spins plus a payout of one times your total bet. There's nothing to buy and no jackpot ladder, so the whole upside lives in getting those held symbols and that reel-11 wild to line up.

The setting is a sunken Atlantis, a glowing turquoise temple of gold-lit spires and domes rising out of deep blue water. Light & Wonder fills the reels with a bearded Neptune framed in gold, a red-haired mermaid, a green-maned water bull, a trident, an orange discus fish, a conch shell and a starfish, with gem-studded royals filling the low end. Aqua, gold and royal purple carry the whole deep-sea palette, and a purple-and-gold spin dial sits down in the corner.
