About Piggy Boom Slot
Look at the left rail before anything else, because it's what sets Piggy Boom apart from every other pig-themed slot YGR has built. A permanent Prize Pool ladder sits there during every base-game spin, showing Any 4 through Any 8 pig-count tiers with fixed cash prizes - $0.20, $0.60, $2, $4, $20 at the 0.20 stake, plus a $200 MY POT 9-Piggy GRAND at the top. Collect 4 or more Ribbon Pigs of any type on a single spin and the matching tier pays instantly, directly from that side panel. You don't need to enter a bonus round to hit the prize pool. It fires during normal spins as soon as you hit the pig-count threshold, which means the rewards land considerably more often than on the follow-up title Piggy Bank, which removed this mechanic.
Three pig types handle the trigger logic. Yellow Ribbon Pigs only land on the 4 corner blocks and the center cell - five fixed spawn positions - and stacking them awards free spins: 7 for three, 10 for four, 15 for five. Red Ribbon Pigs land anywhere and they're the more unusual one. They lock in place and grant one respin when they appear, and every new Red during the respin chain resets the counter back up. But Red Ribbons also block prize redemption on the current grid while they're active, so you can't cash out the prize pool payout until the respin sequence fully resolves. That forced delay is a deliberate strategic wrinkle.
Piglets act as the bonus-game trigger. Five or more pigs of any combined type - Yellow Ribbons, Red Ribbons, and Piglets summed together - triggers a 10-free-spin Bonus Game. During the bonus, pigs lock sticky on landing, and as more pigs accumulate the play area progressively unlocks additional grids. Each unlocked grid adds another 9-cell section, up to a maximum of 6 grids spread across the screen - 54 total cells. Every new pig that lands during the bonus also applies its individual multiplier value to the 8 surrounding cells, so late-round pigs stack localized multiplier fields across the entire expanded play area. GRAND, MAJOR, and MINOR Pig jackpots only appear during the bonus and pay fixed amounts without the 8-reel multiplication.
40 paylines evaluate in two directions - left-to-right across the 3-cell rows and top-to-bottom down the 3-cell columns. That dual-direction math is rare on YGR cabinets. No buy bonus here (the feature hadn't shipped yet when Piggy Boom released - the sequel added it). Visual aesthetic breaks from the usual Chinese-prosperity theme and goes neon-beach: deep purple night sky, palm tree silhouettes traced in pink and green neon lines, blue reel frames glowing against a dark backdrop, and bright symbols mixing pink hearts, blue diamonds, stacked gold bars, pink diamonds, green cash wads, and cartoon pigs with round snouts carrying stamped cash values (0.02, 0.1). A gold hammer animates on big wins, smashing piggy banks for that literal boom effect. Bet range 0.20 to 50.00.
