Base game gets the tumble treatment. Winning symbol groups clear off the 5x5 grid, new mahjong tiles drop into the empty cells, and the cascade chain continues until no more wins resolve. A multiplier ladder runs alongside each cascade chain - starting at x1, climbing to x2, x3, then capping at x5. The sequence skips x4 entirely, which is an odd design choice but consistent across YGR's Rich Mahjong engine. Hit the x5 cap and the ladder holds there for the rest of the chain rather than resetting.

Free Games run a separate multiplier ladder - x2 to x4 to x6 to x10, skipping x8 the same way the base skips x4. Entry is tiered by scatter count: three scatters awards 6 spins, four awards 8, and five caps out at 10 spins. No retrigger mechanism inside the round. The spin count you land on entry is what you play.

Wilds enter through an unusual backdoor. Base game has zero Wilds. They don't land, they can't appear, the symbol doesn't exist in the base reel set. Wilds only materialise during Free Games through a conversion chain: every free spin guarantees at least one Gold-marked tile on the middle reel (reel 3 specifically - a deterministic placement that distinguishes this from the sequel's randomised reel selection). If that Gold tile participates in a winning combination, it converts to a Wild for the remainder of the cascade chain, substituting for any non-scatter symbol in subsequent tumbles. No winning participation, no conversion. The Gold tile just disappears on the next drop.

Visual presentation leans fully traditional Chinese - a mahjong table backdrop in felt green with red and gold trim, the hero banner "麻将发了" (roughly translating as "Mahjong Got Rich") in bold crimson calligraphy, and authentic mahjong tiles serving as the full symbol set. Character suit Wan tiles, the Tong dot suit, Tiao bamboo suit, plus honor tiles - red Zhong dragon, green Fa dragon, white Bai dragon. Wilds display as the standard mahjong white-bordered face with a gold WILD banner stamped horizontally across the middle.
