Slurpy doesn't use reels or paylines. Instead, colorful creatures called Slurpies sit at the top of a 5x5 grid and collect matching colored symbols below them through straws. Red Slurpy drinks red symbols. Blue drinks blue. Six colors total, all sharing the same payout curve.
The catch: symbols need a clear path to the top row. If other symbols block the route, the Slurpy can't reach them. Grid positioning determines everything. A cluster of 10 matching symbols pays 200 coins each (2,000 total on a standard bet). But only if the collector has an unobstructed line to them.
Each round starts with one collector. After it collects matching symbols, the grid refills from above. If the same collector finds more matches, it keeps going. When it runs dry, a new collector appears - different color, fresh targets. The leftmost collector leaves, a new one enters from the right.
This rotation continues as long as each new collector finds something to drink. Miss once and the round ends. The system means longer chains need the grid to keep producing different colored clusters in sequence.
Special straws modify the rules. Super Straw ignores path requirements entirely - a Slurpy with a Super Straw vacuums all matching symbols off the whole grid regardless of position. Long Straw reaches one disconnected cluster. Double Symbol links two different color types, letting one collector eat both.
Collect every payout symbol visible on the grid and it expands. 5x5 becomes 6x6, then 7x7. More cells mean more symbols per drop, more potential collection targets per rotation. Clear a full 7x7 grid (the maximum) and x5 gets added to the global multiplier.
The global multiplier builds from dedicated multiplier symbols (x1 through x10 additions) and from full clears. It applies to every subsequent win in the round. A multiplier sitting at x8 when a collector drinks 15 symbols at 500 coins each produces 60,000 coins - 600x on a standard bet from a single collection pass.
Three collected bonus symbols trigger 5 free drops. Grid size, collector count, and global multiplier all persist between drops. One additional bonus symbol during the bonus adds +2 drops. The bonus is a continuation of whatever state you built up, not a fresh start.
The Super Bonus upgrades one condition: you start with 3 collectors active and the grid already at 7x7. That eliminates the buildup phase. Three collectors rotating on a max-size grid hit more symbols per drop from the first spin.
Five X-iter tiers offer a range from Bonus Hunt at 3x (tripled trigger chance) to Extra Collector at 10x (starts with 3 collectors in base game) to guaranteed Super Bonus at 500x. The Coin Drop at 25x seeds the grid with coins for instant payouts instead of collection mechanics - a fundamentally different mode.
All six symbol colors share an identical payout table. Collecting 1-3 symbols pays 5 coins each. At 10-14 symbols, that jumps to 200 each. At 30-39, it's 10,000 each. At 40 symbols collected (theoretically the max on a 7x7 grid minus special symbols), one symbol is worth 20,000 coins. The curve is exponential - a collector that grabs 30+ symbols of one color with a global multiplier active hits hard. But 5,000x is the ceiling, and RTP stays at ELK's standard 94%.
