Special Fruits Slot Overview

A blazing red fruit machine that picks your paylines for you. Mystic Pay is not a bonus round or a side game, it is that one rule: every spin the game rolls its own line count, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40, and puts the number on a counter beside the reels. No line selector, nothing to lock in.

What it wraps is old stock, and knowingly so. Bells, grapes, melon, lemons, oranges and cherries on a 5x3 grid, a red 7 in the wild slot, and a gold star that pays from any position rather than along a line. Three mystery progressive jackpots ride above the reels. RTP is 96.50%, the ceiling is 2,000x, and there is no free spins round anywhere in it.

Theme & Design

Flames climb both edges in orange and gold with sparks drifting through them, and the reel panel sits almost black-maroon inside a thin gold frame. The fruit-machine art is thick-lined and glossy: a gold bell with a fat highlight running down its side, a watermelon wedge with black pips, a lemon half cut to show every segment, twin cherries sharing one green leaf. The 7 is bright red with WILD stamped beneath it in gold, and the scatter is a red star sunk inside a larger gold one. Three jackpot panels in gold, blue and grey stretch across the top, and down the right side runs the line counter, a vertical strip of numbers with the active one ringed in a glow.

None of this is new and it makes no attempt to be. The drawing is clean, though, and the symbols separate instantly, which more fruit slots get wrong than you would think.

Features & How They Work

Mystic Pay: the line count rolls itself

Each spin runs on a randomly chosen number of paylines out of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40. The player has no input at all. Wins pay left to right from the leftmost reel across adjacent reels, on the selected lines only, with the highest win counted once per line and multiple line wins added together. Your stake does not move with the count, which is the part worth sitting with: a 40-line spin covers eight times the patterns of a 5-line spin for exactly the same money.

The 7 Wild

The red 7 stands in for every symbol except the star and arrives in stacks, so it will happily fill most of a reel and turn a broken board into three or four paying lines at once. On its own it is the second-best combination in the game at 50x for five, though five wilds landing across a spin that only selected five lines is the kind of thing this game does to you.

Star Scatter

The gold star ignores lines entirely. Three, four or five anywhere on the grid pay 5x, 20x and 500x, and that win is added to whatever the lines produced rather than replacing it. Five stars is the single biggest symbol payout here, ten times what five wilds return. It leads nowhere, though. No free spins hang off it, no pick round, it just pays and the next spin starts.

Gold, Diamond and Platinum jackpots

Three mystery progressives sit above the reels, each built from a fixed award plus an increment fed by a slice of every base spin. There is no combination to line up. The game picks a payout point at random between the pool's starting and maximum value, and whoever first pushes the meter to that number takes it, with the chance of getting there rising as your bet does. Their combined contribution to RTP is 0.14%: Gold 0.06%, Diamond 0.05%, Platinum 0.03%. Spinning at the 0.06 minimum you are, realistically, not in that race.

Red or black gamble

Any win can go through the double-up. Press x2, call red or black, and a correct guess doubles the amount while a wrong one takes all of it and closes the round. The gamble win limit is 50,000.

How Special Fruits Plays

There is no arc to a session here. Nothing builds, nothing gets saved up, no meter creeps toward a trigger. Press, resolve, press. What the line roll does is put a small verdict on each spin before you have even read the symbols, and that turns out to be enough to keep your eye on it: a 40 comes up and you suddenly want the board to cooperate, a 5 comes up and you have already half written the spin off.

Which cuts the other way often enough to annoy. Watching bells and grapes stack up on a five-line spin is a particular flavour of bad luck, and you will get it, probably more than once an hour. Cherries, lemons and oranges cap at 5x for a full line of five, so the low end pays in coins and the session leans hard on the bell, the 7 and the star. Between those it is mostly quiet.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • The random line count gives a bonus-free fruit slot something to watch on every spin
  • Star scatter pays 500x from any position and stacks on top of line wins
  • Three mystery progressives on top of a 96.50% base RTP
  • Bets start at 0.06, so the low end really is low

Cons

  • No free spins, no bonus round, no buy option at all
  • A good board on a 5-line spin pays a fraction of the same board on 40, and you get no say in it
  • Jackpot odds scale with stake, so small-stakes play is effectively watching those meters, not chasing them
  • Volatility is never published

Is Special Fruits Worth Playing?

5/10

The random line count is an idea, not a sticker, and it does earn its place on the front of the box. It is also a tidy way of shipping a fruit slot with no feature in it, and both of those things are true at once. Fazi has built the game around a 500x scatter, a stacking 7 and three progressive meters, so the 2,000x ceiling leans on those jackpot pools and on a board falling exactly right, because nothing in the paytable gets you close on its own.

Played at the bottom of the bet range it is fine company for a few hundred spins, quick and legible, with the counter giving each spin a shape. Players who want structure, a round to trigger, something to work toward, will find it thin inside twenty minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum win in Special Fruits?

The game caps at 2,000x the bet, which works out to 48,000.00 at the 24.00 maximum stake. The three mystery jackpots are paid separately from that cap.

How does the Mystic Pay feature work?

Before each spin resolves, the game randomly selects how many paylines are active: 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40. The count is shown on a counter to the right of the reels, and the player cannot choose or change it.

Does Special Fruits have free spins or a bonus buy?

Neither. There is no free spins round and no buy feature. The extras are the wild, the pay-anywhere star scatter, the red or black gamble and the three mystery jackpots.

What is the RTP of Special Fruits?

96.50% theoretical, of which 0.14% comes from the jackpot pools (Gold 0.06%, Diamond 0.05%, Platinum 0.03%). Volatility is not published by Fazi.

Can Special Fruits be played for free, and is there an age limit?

The demo runs in the browser with play money and no account, so nothing can be won or lost. Real-money play is restricted to players aged 18 or over, or 21 in some countries, and should be treated as entertainment rather than income.
