About Starmania 2 Slot
The three orange counters perched above reels 2, 3 and 4 are the persistent backbone of base play. Every wild that lands feeds the counter sitting above its reel, ticking up one by one. Reach 25 on any single counter and the game cuts straight to a 6-spin bonus, no scatter needed. If a wild drops onto a maxed-out reel it shunts sideways into a random other counter instead of going to waste. There's no reset on losing spins, no daily wipe, no decay - whatever you collect stays banked across every spin until it cashes out as free games.
Line pays run both ways across the 10 lines, which is a direct holdover from the 2005 original. Match three identical gems starting from reel 1 OR from reel 5 and both sides pay independently, which lifts the base hit rate noticeably above a standard left-to-right game. Wilds only ever appear on the middle three reels though, so you can't build a wild-only line - they're collectors first, substitutes second.
The bonus is where the architecture pivots. Reels 4 and 5 dim out completely and the playable area shrinks to a 3x3 footprint running 27 ways. Every wild banked from the base game gets dumped back onto the corresponding reel for the entire round, so a fully loaded counter means reel 2 of the 3x3 is solid wilds top to bottom. Two-symbol and three-symbol wins both pay double the base paytable here. The dimmed reels 4 and 5 aren't dead either - their center positions carry a Multiplier Planet that lands at 1 to 10x on reel 4 and 1 to 15x on reel 5, multiplying together for a 150x ceiling on any single win that uses the middle row. A Rocket symbol on those same center positions adds 1 to 3 retrigger spins each, capped at 6 extra.
The art keeps the disco-cosmic look the franchise has always run with - faceted star gems in pink, blue, green and red, glossy planet spheres on the low tier, and a deep purple space-dust backdrop with light rays radiating from the center of the grid. The STARMANIA 2 logo sits inside its own miniature orbit ring top-right. Light & Wonder picked up NextGen's catalogue through the SG Digital deal and ported the original's engine across to Playzido for this sequel. One thing the sequel does not inherit: the original Starmania held a 97.87% RTP for almost two decades, and this one tops out at 96 across its three configurable variants.
