Taco Brothers Derailed takes the 2015 original and rebuilds it from the ground up. The grid stretches from 5x3 to 6x4. Paylines jump from 243 ways to 466 connecting paylines. Max win goes from 1,500x to 10,000x. Paso, Pepe, and Pico return as Walking Wilds, but this time they carry multipliers.
Eight regular symbols fill the paytable - three high-value, two mid-range, three low. The top symbol pays 5,000 coins for six-of-a-kind. Standard wilds substitute for everything except bonus symbols, the brothers themselves, Captain Diaz, and the Senorita.
Any Taco Brother can appear as a Walking Wild on reel 6. When one does, respins begin. The brother moves one reel left per spin, and every normal instance of that character on the grid turns wild while the Walking Wild is active. Same core idea as the original, but now there's a multiplier attached.
The Walking Multiplier Wild is new to Derailed. It only appears on the top row, moves leftward like the brothers, and applies its multiplier to all normal wilds currently on screen. Land it alongside an active Walking Wild brother and suddenly every wild symbol carries the same multiplier value. Multiple multiplied symbols on a payline add their values together.
Bonus symbols that land during Walking Wild respins stick until the sequence ends. Two symbols lingering, then a third dropping in - that's how bonus triggers often happen.
Three bonus symbols on reels 2-5 trigger the main bonus. All three brothers drop onto reel 6 one by one - Pico on the bottom row, Pepe second, Paso third. Each carries a random multiplier that reshuffles with every leftward step. When a brother walks off reel 1, his current multiplier gets added to the remaining brothers' multipliers. Lose one early with a x2, and the other two each gain +2. That cascading transfer is where the math gets interesting.
Captain Diaz patrols reel 1. If he shows up, the brother closest to him goes to jail and stays there as a blocker. The Senorita appears on reel 6 - she either frees an imprisoned brother or pushes an active one back to reel 6 for another full walk across the grid. If both land on the same spin, the Senorita blocks Diaz and turns him wild instead.
Bonus ends when all three brothers either escape or sit in jail. No fixed spin count - could be eight spins, could be twenty-five if the Senorita keeps pulling brothers back.
Four bonus symbols trigger the Super Bonus. All three brothers AND the Walking Multiplier Wild drop simultaneously onto reel 6 and move together. Captain Diaz becomes a wild and can't imprison anyone. The Senorita still functions - she can pull brothers back for extra passes. With no imprisonment risk and a guaranteed Multiplier Wild boosting every normal wild on screen, the Super Bonus is where 10,000x lives. Getting four scatters naturally is rare. The X-iter at 500x skips the wait.
Bonus Hunt at 2x doubles trigger chances. Walking Wild Taco Brother at 10x guarantees one brother appears as a Walking Wild. Walking Multiplier Wild at 25x guarantees the top-row multiplier wild. Bonus at 100x goes straight to the Taco Train Heist with all three brothers. Super Bonus at 500x delivers the full Smash N' Grab experience with Diaz neutralized. The jump from 100x to 500x reflects how much stronger the Super Bonus runs without the imprisonment mechanic.
