The mainline series - Nitropolis through Nitropolis 5 - runs on expanding all-ways grids with Nitro Reels that can push the way count into the hundreds of millions. Nitropolis 3 raised the max win ceiling to 50,000x, where it stayed for the fourth and fifth entries. The first two cap at 10,000x. RTP dropped from 96.1% in the original to 94% across later releases.

The spinoffs put different animal gangs into the same world. Rogue Rats moved to cluster pays on a 7x7 grid. Pug Thugs uses connecting paylines in four directions. Dirty Dawgs went back to fixed 20-line paylines. Same setting, genuinely different engines underneath.
