Alien Assault Slot by KA Gaming

Forget reels and paylines. Alien Assault is a multiplayer arcade shoot-em-up from KA Gaming where you sit behind a stationary cannon and gun down waves of mutant creatures on a barren purple-rock planet. Three room shields greet you at entry: BRONZE ($0.01-$0.10 per bullet), SILVER ($0.10-$1.00), and GOLD ($1.00-$10.00). Each shield carries its own mascot. The teal cyclops octopus with tentacle legs guards BRONZE, a green chameleon thing with a whip tongue and red spine-frill sits in SILVER, and the purple three-eyed bat-winged devil with a razor-tooth maw glares out from GOLD. Pick a room and you drop into a shared arena alongside other players from the lobby pool.

The mechanic itself is straightforward but unforgiving on bad aim. Click or hold to fire, and bullets travel in a straight line from the cannon barrel. Adjusting the cannon angle does NOT redirect bullets already in the air. Misses bounce off the arena edges and keep traveling until they connect with something or expire, so a sloppy shot can still earn its keep if you get lucky on the carom. Each bullet costs your selected stake, and per-target payouts scale to that bet.

Fifteen alien sprite types swarm in. Most pay a flat per-kill multiplier, but watch for the coloured auras. A SPECIAL BONUS aura tags certain aliens with a 3x, 4x, or 7x multiplier on their kill payout. The CHAIN WIN aura is the one to chase though, killing a chained target triggers a cascade that takes out other aliens of the same species across the screen in one hit. There's also a FREEZE BOMB target floating in occasionally, and landing the killshot on it paralyses every other alien for a few seconds of free pickings.

Three power weapons sit in the bottom dock and burn through bigger chunks of stake per use. The Toxic Injector is the freeze-type, locking the whole screen still. The Volt Battery fires a lightning arc that chains between targets in sequence. The Red Bomb is the nuclear option, an AOE blast that clears most of what's on screen. The sci-fi naming is what separates this title from KA Gaming's other reskins on the same engine, where the equivalent weapons get fantasy or horror names instead.

Boss encounters punctuate the session. A klaxon plays, the boss-coming cue hits, and an oversized alien mascot shows up with a fat payout attached to the killshot. The whole production sits against a cosmic backdrop of a blue Earth-like planet and a ringed Saturn rising over violet mountains under a salmon sunset, which gives the carnage a strangely picturesque setting. Skill matters here in a way it doesn't on the rest of the KA catalogue, your aim is the variable, not the RNG.
