About Black Knight Evolution Slot
Five reels start at three rows tall and 243 ways, but the whole game is built around watching them grow. Any spin in the base game can trigger Mighty Reels expansion - reel positions slide upward at random, ways count climbs, and at full stretch the math tops out at 32,768 ways across a much taller window. The expansion noise is one of the clearest cues in the game; you learn quickly to read the reels before the symbols even settle.
Free Spins is where that expansion matters. Scatter the trigger and you drop into a retriggerable round on the same Mighty Reels engine, but every reel that hits full height during the bonus converts the remaining spins into Super Spins - the round upgrades mid-flight rather than waiting for the next trigger. A Pot Reveal mechanic runs alongside it, upgrading a held prize value as the spins play out, so the bonus has two parallel accumulators (the way count and the pot) climbing on different triggers.
The Knight Times wheel feature is the other path in. Premium Play spins a two-ring wheel: the outer ring carries 1x-5x multipliers, the inner ring carries free spin counts of 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15, and the two combine into the actual award. It's the showcase moment of the game and the only place outside the base bonus where free spins are handed out directly.
BONU$PLAY is the buy-in, with two prices - one for at-least the trigger count of bonus symbols, a heavier one for exactly that count - which is unusual; most buy bonuses give you one button and one number. And then there's the Gamble ladder, a full 13-rung climb from 1.5x up to 50x with a choice of 2.5x or 5x odds on each rung. That's a deeper gamble interface than most modern slots bother with, a direct holdover from the UK Arcade lineage that Light & Wonder still maintains.
The art is the "Evolution" pitch in literal form: the original Barcrest Black Knight's medieval castle keep, then dragged forward with electric blue lightning racing across the reel borders, a deep purple-black backdrop, and the chess-piece knight icon rebuilt as a glowing golden 3D model with a green-knight counterpart sitting one tier below. Card suits aren't card suits - they're faceted gemstones in red, blue, green and orange, set into ornate gilded frames. A row of numbers ticks above the reels at trigger ("7 4 6 8 3" in the intro sequence), part of the Wild multiplier carrier read. The 10,000x ceiling is real but routes through the same place all the bigger wins do: fully expanded reels, in Free Spins, with Super Spins firing and the pot upgraded.
