About Bombs Away Slot
The Exploding Wild Bomb is the headline mechanic, and it does something most adjacency Wilds don't. When the Bomb symbol lands anywhere on the 5x3 grid, every cell touching it converts to a Wild. That's up to eight extra Wilds spawned off a single landing in the middle of the grid, four off an edge landing, three off a corner. The blast happens before paylines resolve, so any line that runs through the affected cluster reads the new Wilds for substitution. A single Bomb landing on reel 3 can drag wins out of four or five paylines at once that would otherwise have missed.
Scatters trigger the free games. Three or more anywhere on the reels open the round at 10 free spins, with the same adjacency-blast Bomb mechanic running through the bonus. The retrigger lives inside the free games too, so a fresh Scatter cluster mid-round tops the counter up. There's no buy-in shortcut here and no Super Bet ante chip, which fits the build era. The cabinet pre-dates Habanero's later UI conventions, so the bet rail is stripped down to the basics: Bet, Bet Level, Coin, Balance.
Two random progressives sit overhead. The Grand Jackpot ticker runs in the high four figures of EUR at default demo settings, the Minor floats much lower at around 87 EUR. Both fire on any paid spin without a symbol requirement, so they're a parallel economy on top of the line-pay math. The paytable favors mid-tier hits more than headline ones, so the run-rate feels steadier than the average WWII-themed slot suggests, with the Bomb adjacency carrying most of the variance.
The art leans hard into vintage WWII pinup-poster pulp rather than military realism. Twin P-40 Warhawks sit on either side of the cabinet with their shark-mouth nose art grinning out at the grid. A pin-up girl in green pageant attire poses on a torn poster pinned above the reels, the BOMBS AWAY wordmark scrawled in red vintage showcard cursive across the top. Inside the reels: a clean-shaven GI in helmet, an army backpack with bedroll, a Sherman tank mid-roll on a dusty road, a green-pineapple grenade with the safety pin still in, and card royals 9 through A stamped in olive-drab stencil with wings-and-star Air Corps roundels. The mood is somewhere between a recruitment poster and a period-war piece, courage and grease and one very loud Bomb Wild waiting to detonate.
