Cai Shen Prosperity Slot Overview

The god of wealth sits cross-legged above the reels, arms spread, with three bowls of gems lined up beside him. Almost everything worth having in this game comes from the moment one of those bowls lights up.

Base spins are plain 50-line stuff on a 5x4 grid, and the paytable is flat enough to make the point by itself: five golden dragons pay 50x, and the four card royals all pay an identical 0.5x. Yet the game advertises 23,000x. That gap is the entire design. Practically all of it sits inside the PIN WIN Bonus, a respin round where cash prizes lock onto a 20-cell grid and three helper symbols push them upward.

RTP runs 96.05%, dropping to 95.95% if the bonus is bought. Volatility is at the top of the scale, which for a game that pays this little between features is no surprise at all.

Theme & Design

A bright daytime mountain village, not the moody red-and-black most god-of-wealth slots settle for. Tiered pagoda roofs and orange temple gates climb a jade and lilac mountainside, cherry blossom leans in from both edges, and the reels stand on a stone courtyard littered with copper coins. The grid itself is cream parchment inside a red-and-gold lacquered frame hung with tassels.

The symbols split cleanly. A golden dragon coiled on a red disc, a money toad on purple, paired koi on blue, ingots on green, then A, K, Q and J drawn as thick gilded letters in pink, orange, gold and blue. Cai Shen doubles as the wild, a small portrait of him clutching a scroll. Everything is loud, warm and entirely uninterested in subtlety, which for a lunar new year palette is the right call. And the three bowls above the reels are labelled COLLECT, BOOST and PAYER in letters big enough to read from across the room, so their job is obvious before anyone opens a rule page.

Features & How They Work

Treasure Bowls and Tokens

Tokens drop on top of an ordinary symbol and cover it. The symbol underneath stays live, so a covered reel position still completes a payline. Tokens come in green, red and blue, each drawn to the matching bowl above the reels, plus a tri-colour version that belongs to Cai Shen himself.

Any token may fire its bowl. The part worth knowing is that the number collected changes nothing: the trigger is random every time, and a run of six tokens brings the bonus no closer than a run of one. The bowls are dressing on a random event, not a meter climbing toward a payout, whatever the artwork implies.

PIN WIN Bonus

Which bowls fire decides the shape of the round. Green alone gives a bonus with COLLECT symbols, red alone gives BOOST, blue alone gives PAYER. Two bowls together produce a Double Pin Win with two of the three types in play, and three bowls, or Cai Shen after he catches a tri-colour token, produce a Triple Pin Win with all of them.

Inside, the 5x4 reels become 20 independent single-cell reels. Pin Win symbols carry a printed prize worth anything from 0.5x to 100x the total bet, and they lock where they land. Three attempts to start; any new Pin Win or special symbol resets the counter back to three. The round ends when the attempts run out or the grid fills, and every prize showing at that moment is added together. The round plays at the bet that triggered it.

Note that there are no free spins anywhere in this game. This respin round is the one and only feature.

PAYER, BOOST and COLLECT

PAYER adds its printed amount, 1x to 10x the total bet, to every single Pin Win symbol on the grid. That is the one that turns a well-populated grid into something serious, since it hits all of them at once. BOOST is narrower, multiplying one Pin Win symbol by x2 up to x10. COLLECT gathers the rewards from every Pin Win already down, and the collected symbols keep their printed prizes afterwards, so it adds rather than sweeps. Collects also stick and count toward filling the grid.

When more than one lands on the same spin they resolve in a fixed order: PAYER, then BOOST, then COLLECT. Worth remembering, because it means the payer tops up every cell and the boost multiplies one of them before the collect banks anything.

Ultra Jackpot

Cover all 20 cells with Pin Win and Collect symbols and the round pays a flat 1000x the total bet on top of the grid. A counter above the reels tracks how many cells are still empty.

Despite the name it is not a progressive and there are no tiers, no Mini, Minor or Major. One fixed award for one specific outcome.

Buy Bonus

One purchase option, priced at 126x the total bet, running a slightly lower 95.95% RTP. It buys a spin that lands the Random Bonus symbol, which then triggers a Pin Win round exactly the way a natural trigger would.

Exactly the way, including the variant. There is no menu of tiers here, so 126x can just as easily deliver the single-bowl version as the triple. For a buy that steep, that is a real coin flip on top of the round itself.

How Cai Shen Prosperity Plays

About one spin in three pays, which makes the reels feel busier than the balance does, because a lot of those wins are royals handing back a fraction of the stake. The base game is mostly a waiting room with good scenery.

What creates the tension is not the spin, it's the tokens. One lands, sits over a symbol, and the question for a second or two is whether the bowl behind it wakes up. When it does, the next beat is which colours light, and that single moment decides whether the next thirty seconds are a modest tidy-up or the loud version with all three helper types firing. Very few slots put this much weight on one random flash, and it does give the base game a hook it would otherwise lack.

The rounds themselves swing hard. Three attempts is not generous, and a Pin Win round that fails to reset early can be finished almost before it starts, which for my money is the least satisfying way this game can go. Get the resets flowing with a payer on board and it climbs fast. That is the trade a 23,000x ceiling on a 50x paytable buys: long flat stretches, then a round that either fizzles in seconds or does most of a session's work.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Pin Win rounds come in four escalating variants, so the trigger moment carries real weight
  • PAYER hitting every locked symbol at once gives full grids genuine scaling
  • Warm, bright art that avoids the usual gloomy god-of-wealth look
  • Collect symbols add rather than sweep, and still count toward the 1000x full grid

Cons

  • Base paytable is very flat, with a 50x top line and four identical royals
  • 126x is a lot to pay for a bonus that might turn out to be the single-bowl version
  • The three bowls look like a collection meter but tokens do nothing for trigger odds
  • One feature only, with no free spins to break up the base game

Is Cai Shen Prosperity Worth Playing?

6/10

Amigo has built a hold-and-respin round with more moving parts than most, and then made the trigger itself the interesting bit by splitting the bonus into four grades. That is a smart piece of design. A single-bowl Collect round and a Triple Pin Win are barely the same feature, and knowing which one is coming before the first respin lands gives the game a jolt that a plain scatter count never would.

The cost is a base game with almost nothing in it. A 50x top line on a 5x4 grid is thin, the royals are interchangeable, and long stretches pass with tokens landing and bowls staying dark. The buy at 126x without variant selection is hard to defend as value, though the pricing does at least reflect what a triple round is capable of.

As a Cai Shen slot it clears the bar comfortably, mostly because the Pin Win grid is well constructed and the payer mechanic scales properly. Just go in expecting one feature and a lot of quiet spins between visits to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum win in Cai Shen Prosperity?

23,000x the total bet. Essentially all of it comes from the Pin Win Bonus, since the best base-game line pays just 50x. Filling all 20 grid cells adds a fixed 1000x on its own.

How do you trigger the PIN WIN Bonus?

Token symbols land over ordinary symbols during base spins and each one may randomly activate its matching Treasure Bowl. Which bowls fire decides the variant: one bowl gives a single special symbol type, two give a Double Pin Win, three or Cai Shen himself give a Triple Pin Win. Collecting more tokens does not improve the odds.

Does Cai Shen Prosperity have free spins?

No. The Pin Win Bonus respin round is the only feature in the game, and there is no free spins mode and no wheel bonus.

How much does the bonus buy cost and what is the RTP?

126x the total bet, with a bought-bonus RTP of 95.95% against 96.05% for the base game. There is only one buy option and it does not let you pick the variant, so a purchase can still land the single-bowl version.

Is this game suitable for players under 18?

No. Cai Shen Prosperity is a real-money slot restricted to players aged 18 or over, or the legal gambling age where you live. Play for entertainment, set a budget before you start, and use the deposit and session limits your casino provides.
