Cygnus 6 is the sixth game in ELK Studios' longest-running series. The original Cygnus topped out at 5,000x. This one reaches 50,000x - a tenfold increase that reflects how far the franchise has pushed its math model across six iterations.
The setup is a 6-column grid starting at 4 rows (4,096 ways). Each avalanche chain adds one row, expanding up to 8 rows and 262,144 ways to win. The expanding grid has been a Cygnus staple since the early entries, but six games in, ELK has layered enough features on top that the grid expansion is the foundation rather than the headline.
Four constellations cycle in sequence: Butterfly (3 stars), Hummingbird (5), Jaguar (7), Llama (9). Star Charger symbols activate 1-3 stars when they reach the grid's bottom, then become wilds. When enough stars are active, the Starlight feature fires - turning symbols along constellation lines into matching pay symbols or wilds.
The progression carries over between rounds at the same bet level. If you fill Butterfly's 3 stars, you advance to Hummingbird and start the next round with 5 stars to fill. This gives Cygnus 6 something unusual for a slot: continuity. Your position in the constellation chain matters across spins, not just within a single round.
Consuming or activating all stars in a constellation opens the Cygnus Realm. The grid locks at 6x8, stars become mystery symbols, and you get 3 Cygnus drops. Premium mystery symbols reset the drop counter back to 3. When drops end, all mystery symbols reveal as the same payout symbol.
Then there's the Max Win symbol. If it reaches the leftmost column, it pays whatever amount remains to hit the 50,000x cap. It's a shortcut to the ceiling - rare, but when it lands, the round is over in the best way possible.
Multiplier symbols travel toward the bottom or leftmost column. Each one that arrives adds +1 to the active multiplier and converts to a wild. The multiplier resets each round but carries into the bonus. Seven bonus drops with a persistent multiplier and row safety level (starts at 4, grows with winning drops) is the primary path to big payouts.
The X-iter pricing tells you where ELK thinks the value lives: 2.5x and 5x for bonus hunts, 50x Cosmic Spin for a guaranteed multiplier at max rows, 100x for direct bonus entry, and 500x Shooting Stars that pre-loads multipliers, star constellations, and mystery symbols for a guaranteed Cygnus Realm. At 94% RTP, the 500x buy is steep, but it's the only entry point that combines every system simultaneously.
