About Deep Descent Slot
The grid grows. Deep Descent starts at a standard 5x3 underwater layout with 243 ways, but as you keep spinning the game adds rows. Hit Level 2 and the grid extends to 5x4 with 1,024 ways. Reach Level 3 and it's a full 5x5 board running 3,125 ways, with extra wilds seeded into the reels at each new depth. Progression is driven by a base-game feature that randomly clears a chunk of the low-pay card royals off the screen - those bubble-trapped spades and hearts you see floating between the fish - replacing them with fresh symbols and nudging the depth counter forward. So the longer you stay in a session, the deeper the submarine sinks and the wider the math gets. Reset back to Level 1 at the start of each new session.
The Wild is a bearded diver in a green knit cap peering out of a brass porthole, and it does the heavy lifting once it lands. Any Wild that drops onto the reels sticks in place and triggers a respin. While at least one sticky Wild is on the board the respin chain keeps going, and any new Wild that joins also locks down for the next round. Combined with the wider grid at depth, this is where the 18,814x cap actually becomes reachable, since respins on a 3,125-way Level 3 board with multiple Wilds glued in place behave very differently from the same chain at the surface.
One thing worth flagging up front - 95% RTP. That's noticeably under the studio's usual 96.2% standard, so the math runs leaner than most other Relax titles even with the high volatility profile. There's no bonus buy, no ante bet, no traditional Free Spins round. The whole game lives or dies on the depth progression and the sticky-Wild respin loop. It's an unusual structure for the studio, closer to an arcade ocean game than a modern feature-heavy slot.
The art keeps things light and cartoonish. Reels sit in a split-frame that shows the rocky shoreline and waves above the waterline up top while the reels themselves drift in clear blue water below, lit by sunlight beams at Level 1, schools of fish at Level 2, and circling sharks at Level 3 once the descent is complete. High-pay symbols are big-eyed cartoon fish in clownfish orange, blue tang, green and gold; low-pays are classic card suits floating inside soap-bubble frames. Two yellow submarine arms reach in from the bottom corners of every spin, like the player is piloting a Jacques Cousteau craft watching the catch swim past.
