Diamond Dez is AvatarUX's heist-themed slot, built around a 6x5 grid and scatter pays - a deliberate step away from the PopWins mechanic the studio is known for. Released November 7, 2025, it centers on a noir crime character named Dez and puts Pay Anywhere wins, cascades, and Multiplier Vaults at the core of its math.
Wins form when 8 or more of the same symbol land anywhere across the 6x5 grid. Position doesn't matter - only the count of matching symbols does. At 8 or 9 symbols, the payout is at the base tier. At 10-11 it steps up, and at 12 or more it hits the cap (same payout from 12 to all 30 positions). Having every cell filled with one symbol type doesn't pay any more than 12 of that symbol.
After a win, matching symbols are removed. New symbols drop down to fill the vacated positions. If another win forms, the cascade repeats. Chains build across multiple cascades from a single spin, each step treated as a separate win event. During Free Spins, each of those cascade steps fills the Progression Bar individually - a long chain on a single spin contributes multiple steps toward Time to Shine.
The Wild appears as a 2 or 3-symbol tall stack and triggers randomly at any point during base game or Free Spins. Each instance of the Wild carries its own individually assigned multiplier: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, or 10x. The multiplier applies to any win that includes the Wild. A three-tall Wild stack with a 10x multiplier landing during a cascade chain can meaningfully shift the spin's total.
The Wild substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus and Multiplier Vault. It doesn't interact with the Multiplier Vault - the two are separate systems that combine at payout.
Multiplier Vaults appear randomly during spins and during cascades in Free Spins. The range is 2x to 100x. They don't affect individual symbol wins during the cascade - they're applied to the total accumulated win after the final cascade in a spin sequence. A long cascade chain that builds a substantial total, then gets multiplied by a 100x Vault, is the scenario where the game's 10,000x cap becomes relevant.
In the base game, Vaults appear but don't persist. In Time to Shine mode during Free Spins, they stick on the grid between spins until a win occurs - which is the mechanic that makes the bonus mode distinctly more volatile than standard Free Spins.
Four or more Bonus symbols trigger Free Spins. The count scales with how many landed: 4 Bonus = 10 spins, 5 Bonus = 12 spins, 6 Bonus = 15 spins. During Free Spins, additional Bonus symbols retrigger the round - 3 Bonus adds +3 spins, scaling up to +6 spins for 6 Bonus symbols landed simultaneously.
The Progression Bar tracks wins. Each win - not each symbol match, but each winning cascade step - fills one slot. After 10 wins, Time to Shine activates: +3 Free Spins are awarded, the frequency of Multiplier Vaults and Expanding Wilds increases, and Multiplier Vaults now stay on the grid between spins until a win clears them. The accumulation of sticky Vaults combined with cascading wins in that state is where the high end of the variance lives.
Ante Bet costs 1.5x per spin and gives 3x the standard probability of triggering Free Spins. That's a higher multiplier than the typical 2x seen in most AvatarUX titles. At €0.15 minimum, it keeps the cost manageable for longer sessions targeting a natural bonus trigger.
Three direct buy options sit in the XPRESS menu. Bonus at 60x bet delivers 10 Free Spins (RTP 96.06%). Bonus Plus at 120x gets you 12 Free Spins and actually carries the highest RTP in the game at 96.07% - higher than base game or any other buy option. Bonus Max at 400x bet gives 15 Free Spins, but its RTP of 96.01% is the lowest of the three buys, and even lower than the base game's 96.06%. That's an unusual inversion worth noting.
Diamond Dez doesn't use PopWins. For a studio whose catalog has been defined by that expanding-reel mechanic - MonkeyPop, 3 Power Dragons, Carioca Vibes - this is a real pivot. Pay Anywhere with cascades and sticky multipliers is a different gameplay loop. The Progression Bar leading to Time to Shine adds a second phase to the bonus that PopWins games don't have. RTP sits at 96.06% base game. Max win is 10,000x.
