About Prince of Purrwood Slot

Robin Hood, But Make It Cats

Prince of Purrwood takes AvatarUX's Reward Boosters engine and wraps it in a medieval forest setting where the outlaw hero is a chubby tabby in a green tunic. The base grid runs 6x3, but every winning cascade cracks open one of the stone cell blockers hiding below, gradually expanding the playing field to 6x5. During Free Spins, a sixth row unlocks for the full 6x6 grid - that's 46,656 ways to win at maximum expansion.

It's the second Reward Boosters game after Sphinx Treasure, which used the same mechanic with an Egyptian theme. The core loop hasn't changed: cascade wins unlock cells, cells contain multipliers, multipliers stick around in bonus. The theme swap works well, though. The cat characters have personality, and the forest backdrop has enough depth to feel like an actual environment rather than a flat image behind the reels.

How Cell Blockers Drive the Gameplay

This is where Prince of Purrwood separates itself from standard cascade slots. Each blocked cell hides a multiplier reward - values like x2, x3, x4, and x8 appear regularly, and they can reach up to x50 per cell. When a cascade clears winning symbols and new ones drop in, one cell blocker cracks open left to right, top to bottom.

The progression feels tangible. Your first few spins play out on a tight 6x3 grid with 324 ways. Land a couple of winning cascades, and suddenly you're playing on 6x4 with over 1,200 ways. The multiplier values accumulate, so later cascades in the same round hit harder than early ones. Still, in base game play the grid and multipliers reset after each spin sequence - no persistence until you reach Free Spins.

Loaded Up Feature

The Loaded Up Feature triggers randomly during any base game spin. When it fires, it instantly collects and unlocks between 1 and 12 blocked cells - skipping the gradual cascade progression entirely. In the Bonus Game, it's even stronger: 2 to 18 cells collected, with up to 5 unlocked at once.

You can also guarantee it by buying a Feature Spin at 15x your bet. For context, a normal spin costs 1x. So you're paying 15 times the standard rate for one spin with a guaranteed grid expansion burst. Whether that's worthwhile depends on how much you value the acceleration versus just playing normally.

Free Spins and Buy Bonus

Three or more Bonus symbols collected across spins trigger Free Spins. In the bonus round, the 6th row is automatically unlocked, and - this is the important part - all multipliers and unlocked cells persist throughout the entire feature. Fully unlocking every cell grants an extra 2 Free Spins on top.

AvatarUX offers four XPRESS tiers for buying in directly:

  • Bonus: 75x bet for 6 Free Spins with persistent unlocks
  • Bonus Plus: 200x bet for 9-12 Free Spins with higher feature chance
  • Bonus Max: 500x bet for 15 Free Spins with highest feature chance

The Ante Bet option costs 1.5x your normal bet and triples the chance of landing Bonus symbols. RTP stays close across all modes - 96.13% base, 96.40% at Bonus Max. No meaningful RTP penalty for any particular buy tier.

The Math Profile

High volatility with a 10,000x cap. Those numbers put Prince of Purrwood in line with most of AvatarUX's recent output - solid ceiling without reaching the extreme heights of PopWins games like Greed (20,000x). The bet range from 0.10 to 300 is generous on both ends.

Symbol payouts are modest when you look at raw paytable values. The best-paying high symbols return just 2x your bet for a six-of-a-kind win. But that's intentional - the real value comes from way multiplication across an expanded grid combined with cell multipliers. A single cascade chain late in a bonus round, with multiplied ways across five or six rows plus stacked cell multipliers, can produce hits that the flat paytable doesn't hint at.

If you played Sphinx Treasure and liked the core mechanic, Prince of Purrwood is more of the same with better art direction and a theme that's harder to forget. If expanding grids with persistent multipliers appeal to you but Sphinx wasn't on your radar, this is a clean entry point into the Reward Boosters concept.
