Evoplay built this as a sequel to Europe Transit, not a snow filter over it. Paylines doubled to 20, the multiplier ladder now climbs to x100 instead of stopping at x15, free spins retrigger, and there's an ante toggle plus a buy button where the 2023 game had neither.

RTP is 96.18% at medium-high volatility, and the ceiling is 5,236x total bet. The round 5,000x in the official blurb is that same number trimmed, and the EUR 392,685 quoted alongside it is simply what the cap pays at the 75 EUR maximum stake.

The road runs dead straight to a vanishing point between banks of ploughed snow, with pale grey-blue peaks either side and spruce trees drooping under fresh powder. Snow settles on the reel frame itself, which is a nice touch on a game that otherwise keeps its scenery completely still. Falling flakes drift across everything.

The premium symbols are cab-over European rigs in purple, blue, green and red, each with a wing logo on the trailer, and above them a bearded driver in an orange cap grinning out of an orange-framed tile. Card royals are engraved on grey slabs with colour-matched borders. Reel 5 holds strapped shipping containers colour-coded by value, gold for x100 down through red x50 and purple x15 to the modest blues and greens.

It's clean, readable, and a bit plain. The art does its job and nothing more, which for a game this dependent on one column is probably the right call.

Spins land quickly and pay often enough - a little over one in four - but most of those hits are 0.2x to 1.3x, dust that barely dents the stake. So the rhythm settles into something oddly passive: watch the four left reels form a line, then look right to see what the crate says. Everything hinges on that glance.

The locked crates are the hook, and they're either clever or infuriating depending on temperament. A greyed x100 parked on a row where three purple trucks just paid is a deliberate needle, and after a couple hundred spins you'll likely have formed a firm opinion about it.

Bonus rounds are short and spiky. Ten or fifteen spins with the full ladder live means the whole thing swings on which crates happen to drop on which rows, with almost nothing a player influences. That makes the bonus tense but brief, and it's a very different game from the flat base grind that precedes it.

Snowdrift takes an idea the first Europe Transit only sketched and gives it enough numbers to work. Twenty lines instead of ten, a ladder that reaches x100, retriggers, and a 5,236x cap against the original's 2,571x - the sequel is roughly twice the game in every direction that counts.

What it doesn't fix is the thinness underneath. Sacrificing reel 5 buys the multiplier gimmick at the cost of five-of-a-kind wins, and the paytable that's left is meagre enough that dry stretches feel genuinely empty. The bonus is where it comes alive, and getting there without paying the 80x is slow.

Still, the multiplier column is a clean idea executed without clutter, the ante is fairly priced, and the buy doesn't gouge. Trucks in the snow won't set anyone's pulse racing, but the maths under the paint is more interesting than the art suggests.
