Pragmatic Play's fourth Floating Dragon drops the classic 5x3 grid for a six-reel Ultra Megaways layout with up to 12,960 ways to win. The "Ultra" part refers to three extra rows above reels 2 through 5, spinning independently and locking or unlocking at random each spin. When all top rows are active, the grid stretches to a 6-9-9-9-9-6 configuration. When they lock, you're working with fewer ways and a tighter board.
The 20,000x max win is four times the original Floating Dragon's cap. RTP sits at 96.70% across all bet modes, and a tumble mechanic clears winning symbols after each hit - standard for Megaways, new for this series.
The dual-feature structure from earlier entries carries over. Hold and Spin triggers when three or more Coin Money or Diamond Money symbols land anywhere. The grid freezes at its current size, and you get 3 respins that reset with each new money symbol. Coin Money values range from 1x to 30x total bet. Diamond Money sits between 50x and 2,000x. A guaranteed minimum of 20x keeps empty rounds from stinging too hard.
Free Spins start at 10, 15, 20, or 25 depending on whether you land 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters. Buy options shortcut both features - 100x for Free Spins, 120x for Hold and Spin.
The collection mechanic works differently here than in the 5x3 versions. Lady symbols replace Wilds as the collectors during Free Spins - they grab the value of every Fish Money symbol on screen when they appear. Fish Money values run from 2x up to 5,000x total bet.
Every 4th Lady collected retriggers the round with 10 extra spins and bumps the collection multiplier. The ladder starts at 2x, moves to 3x, then 10x, and keeps adding 10x for each subsequent retrigger. No cap mentioned on retriggers beyond the third, which means the multiplier can theoretically keep climbing. A dragon animation can also force Fish Money symbols onto the grid when only Lady symbols are present - insurance against dead collection spins.
Mystery symbols appear in the base game, transforming into a single matching pay symbol. During Free Spins, they fill in when Lady symbols land without Fish Money targets, creating collection opportunities that wouldn't otherwise exist.
The variable grid adds a layer the fixed-reel versions lack. More active rows means more ways, more symbol positions, and more chances for money symbols to appear in features. But it also means base game variance swings wider - a spin with all top rows locked plays nothing like one where the full grid opens up.
If you've played the earlier Floating Dragon Megaways, this is nearly the same game with a Chinese New Year skin and the ante bet added. The math model, feature structure, and payout mechanics overlap almost entirely. That's either a safe bet on a proven engine or a missed opportunity for the fourth entry in a series, depending on what you wanted from it.
