Cartoon fruit, five fixed lines, no bonus round. That is Fruity Face, more or less in full. Seven symbols spin on a 5x3 grid, wins pay left to right from reel one, and only the single best line on a spin counts.

What stops it being completely bare are the three progressive meters ticking along the bottom. Gold, Diamond and Platinum, all mystery-triggered, all fed by a slice of every stake. Nothing to line up, nothing to collect. They drop, or they don't.

The red 7 is the symbol that matters. Five of them on a line pay 1,000x, and in a game with no wild and no multipliers that is the entire top end. Everything under it flattens out fast.

The art is the reason to look twice. A bright red comic backdrop with radiating rays and halftone dots sits behind a gold-framed reel window in dark maroon, and fat yellow '5' badges shaped like guitar picks flank every row to mark the line count. The fruit machine icons are hand-drawn rather than rendered: the watermelon is a whole melon with a wedge cut out of it, the bells come with little wobble lines beside them, and the BAR is a navy plate with gold lettering that looks deliberately wonky.

One gripe, and it is a fair one. The key art has every piece of fruit pulling a face, googly eyes on the watermelon, a wide toothy grin on the lemon, even the 7 staring back. On the reels none of that exists. The only face in the whole game is the small grinning orange tucked into the title banner, which makes the name read like a promise the reels never keep.

Sessions here are flat, and that is the design working rather than failing. Low volatility plus cherries paying from two of a kind means the reels dribble something back constantly, so a balance drifts down slowly instead of falling off a cliff. There is no build to any of it. Nothing counts up, nothing lands with a thud on reel four, no meter fills.

Which puts every scrap of anticipation on the red 7. When one lands it glows, and the eye snaps to it immediately, doing the job a scatter count does in a modern slot. Usually it is one 7, alone, and the spin moves on.

The other pull is the jackpot meter cycling below the reels, which is probably where the actual tension of this game lives. Odd thing to say about a slot, but there it is. Spins are quick, autoplay is one button away, and a long stretch can pass without a single thing worth remembering.

Fazi built this for the cabinet crowd, players who want a start button, a meter and nothing to read. Judged on that, it works. The art has personality, the pace is quick, and low volatility does what low volatility should, which is keep a small balance breathing for a long stretch.

Judged as a 2020s slot it is thin, and there is no dressing that up. A 1,000x ceiling is modest, and reaching it takes five red sevens on one of only five lines with nothing on the reels to help. The jackpots are the answer to that, though they are a lottery ticket bolted to the side rather than something the game itself earns.
