Pragmatic Play dropped this game on the exact same day as Freya 1000, but they couldn't be more different. While Freya is a high-volatility beast packed with nudging shields, multipliers, and bonus buys, this slot completely strips away all those modern bells and whistles. There are no free spins, no bonus rounds to trigger, and no way to buy your way into the action.

If you've played the studio's older Fire Strike games, you'll recognize the vibe immediately. It brings back that classic "count-anywhere" payout ladder and a massive grand jackpot for landing a full screen of wilds. But here's the twist: they took a mechanic that is usually super volatile and chilled it out into a low-volatility game. It's a totally different rhythm compared to the other games coming out right now.

Bubble Wild slot 5x3 reels in a pink bathtub, three rubber ducks on reels 1 to 3 completed by two pink Bubble Wilds on reel 4, win 5.00
The Bubble Wild on reel 4 stretches three ducks into a four-duck line for 5x, so the wilds earn on the lines as well as on the ladder.

Fruit... in a Bathtub?

The theme is definitely quirky. Picture a pink bathtub pushed up against a blue tiled wall. On the reels, you've got your classic retro fruit machine symbols, cherries, lemons, grapes, watermelons, and some colorful 7s, hanging out alongside bars of soap and a yellow rubber duck.

Then there are the two bubble symbols: a pink wild and a blue pop. There's a plastic tube at the bottom of the screen that collects tokens for the bubbles that land, while a giant payout ladder made of pipes sits at the top, showing you exactly what you can win.

The pipe ladder over the tub shows every bubble count and its prize, so you always know how far six bubbles is from the jackpot.

Let's Talk Numbers

This is a classic 5x3 grid with 10 fixed paylines. It runs on a low-volatility math model with a solid 96.50% RTP. Because it's so old-school, there are no ante bets or bonus buys to mess with the stats, what you see is what you get. You can bet anywhere from 0.10 to 50 a spin, and despite the low volatility, it reaches a maximum win of 25,000x your bet.

At the 50 top bet the jackpot plaque reads 1,250,000, which is the 25,000x prize scaling with your stake instead of sitting at a fixed cash amount.

Wilds, Ladders, and Lots of Teasing

Since there are no bonus games, everything happens right on the main spins. You'll be relying heavily on the pink Bubble Wilds. They come in stacks of up to three, meaning a single wild reel can connect multiple paylines at once. If you manage to line up five Bubble Wilds on a single payline, it pays out 200x, the best line hit in the game.

But the real point of the game is the Bubble Bonus, which is an instant cash ladder. If you land six or more of any bubble (pink or blue) anywhere on the board, you win a cash prize. Six bubbles get your bet back, seven doubles it, and it climbs all the way up to 5,000x for a full screen of 15 mixed bubbles. Want that massive 25,000x jackpot? You'll need a flawless screen of exactly 15 pink Bubble Wilds.

A full wild stack on reel 2 is what turns two triple BARs into a paying line, and it's also three bubbles toward the ladder.

Real talk, though: be prepared for some frustration. The game loves to tease you. Falling exactly one bubble short of a payout is the most common thing you'll see. In 325 spins I landed exactly five bubbles 18 times, and 14 of those spins paid nothing at all. Even getting a bunch of wilds feels like a letdown if they don't hit that magic number six or line up perfectly on a payline. When the ladder does pay, it's usually just giving you your bet back at the bottom rung. The highest I climbed was eight bubbles (for an 8x payout), while my best single spin actually came from lining up some wilds and fruit for a 26.5x win.

Eight bubbles, the highest I climbed in 325 spins, and it pays 8x. The rungs that really move money start four bubbles further up.

This is a polished, fun little loop, but you have to know what you're getting into: you are entirely at the mercy of that payout ladder. The rules file even still carries two leftover lines about Fire Strike symbols paying anywhere on the reels, and the family resemblance shows: Fire Strike tops out at 27,000x, while Fire Strike 2 shares the 25,000x top prize at very high volatility. To be fair, compared to other low-volatility games out there like Wolf Gold (which caps at 2,500x), the payout potential here is huge.

But here's my main gripe: by putting the entire budget of the game into an instant-pay ladder, the payouts feel very top-heavy. In games like Mega Fire Blaze: Axoloco, landing six prize coins and chillies triggers a whole hold-and-win feature. Here, six bubbles just get you your money back. In fact, the ladder doesn't even beat the top regular line pay of 200x until you manage to hit twelve bubbles. The bottom half of the ladder mostly hands back small change, and the big numbers all sit on the rare rungs at the top.
