Hacksaw Gaming is dropping a new swamp-themed slot called Croco Clover late this November. If you're a fan of the classic sticky multiplier wild setup, this one takes that familiar mechanic and adds a really fun twist: the multipliers actually grow the longer they stay on the board.

Croco Clover Snap Zone free spin: five Beavers across the top row of the swamp reels with a 9x Sticky Wild Croco inside the line
This is the picture the game sells: a sticky Croco that has been climbing for several spins finally sits inside a full line of premiums.

How the Multipliers Work (and How They Play)

The main draw here is the free spins, which come in two tiers. You can trigger the standard "Snap Zone" bonus with three scatters (or buy it for 60x your bet). You get eight spins, and any Wild Croco that lands sticks around for the rest of the feature, increasing its multiplier by +1x on every single spin.

If you land four scatters (or pay 200x), you get the "Swamp King" bonus. This gives you ten spins, better chances at landing jackpots, and the sticky wilds grow by +2x per spin instead of +1x. In both modes, if multiple Crocos share a winning line, their values add together.

I bought both features, and they play out exactly how you'd expect: it's all about late-game momentum. In my 60x Snap Zone buy, the first half-dozen spins were pretty dead, paying out maybe 3x total. But by the end, a Croco that had grown to a 9x multiplier finally connected with some premium symbols, paying out 46x. I ended the round at 49x, a slight loss, but you can see the potential.

My 200x Swamp King buy went similarly. It started slow, but those +2x increments add up fast. My last couple of spins hit for 27x and 56x thanks to a cluster of wilds sitting at 11x, 9x, 4x, and 4x. I walked away with 149x. It didn't quite cover the 200x cost, but the compounding math definitely makes those final spins incredibly tense.

Give the +2x growth a few spins and the board fills with big numbers, but they only pay when a line runs through them.

Base Game Options

Hacksaw added three FeatureSpins modes that all hover around 96.3% RTP, right beside the base game's 96.34% (casinos can also run it at 94.24%, 92.29% or 86.26%). You can pay 2x your bet to triple your chances of triggering the bonus, or 3x to boost your odds of hitting a fixed jackpot. There's also a "Jaw-Dropping" mode for 50x your bet. This one is interesting: it completely removes scatters and jackpots, turning the game into a pure line-win experience.

Everything you can pay for sits on one screen: the three FeatureSpins modes you switch on and off, and the two bonuses you buy outright.

How It Compares to Other Games

Sticky wilds are nothing new. Games like The Dog House set the standard years ago, but those wilds keep the same value they land with. Croco Clover feels a bit more dynamic since the multipliers are forced to climb.

It also feels distinct from modern takes on the mechanic. For example, Strawberry Land makes you build up sticky wilds via a collection ladder, and The Wildos: Xmas Xpress, due in late November, re-rolls its multipliers randomly on every spin. Here, you have the comfort of knowing the numbers will only ever go up. Even compared to Hacksaw's other upcoming games, it stands out. Supernova Shooting Stars, due in early November, has a similar adding-multiplier vibe, but its wilds reset between spins.

The Problem: A Surprisingly Low Max Win

If there's a downside to Croco Clover, it's the max win. The game caps out at 2,500x your bet, which is tied directly to the top fixed jackpot (landing three Jackpot Clovers). Because of this hard cap, no matter how crazy your sticky Croco multipliers get in the bonus round, the game will abruptly end at 2,500x.

For a slot with escalating, compounding math, that cap feels unusually low, especially when older games like The Dog House cap out at 6,750x.

Despite the low max win, Croco Clover is an entertaining slot.

Two Clovers do nothing on their own. It takes three on one spin to pick a prize from the sign, and only the GRAND pays the full 2,500x.
