If you played Hacksaw's Decay a few months back, you're going to experience some serious déjà vu with Ghost Vision. Due out on 19 November 2026, this night-time military slot runs the same symbol-transforming mechanics as Decay but packs them into a slightly smaller 5x5 grid. It's not a totally ground-breaking concept, but it still packs a punch if you catch it on a good day.

The Base Game: Turning Symbols Wild
The star of the show here is the "SwitchSpins" respin mechanic. Whenever a Ghost Vision symbol drops, it picks one or more paying symbol types (anything from one to ten), turns all of them into Wilds, and triggers a respin. If you land another trigger symbol during that respin, it adds more symbol types to the Wild list and spins again. It's a great concept, but because the Wilds only appear exactly where the chosen symbols were already sitting, your payout depends entirely on whether those specific spots actually connect.
Hacksaw gives you a couple of FeatureSpins options to speed things up. For double your base bet (BonusHunt), you get triple the chance of hitting a bonus. There's also a "Deep Cover" option for 50x your bet that guarantees a trigger symbol on every spin. Just a heads up from my own experience: this is highly volatile. I bought a Deep Cover spin, and it turned a bunch of 10s into Wilds on the outer edges, resulting in a completely dead round. It's very much boom-or-bust.

The Bonuses: Reset vs. Progressive
The two free spins features take the SwitchSpins mechanic and crank it up, but they play very differently.
Operation Black Rain (100x Buy): This gives you 10 free spins with a higher chance of landing trigger symbols. The snag is that your collected Wild symbols reset after each respin chain ends. I bought this feature and got about a third of my money back, mostly from one lucky spin that chained three triggers together for a 23x payout. It's a decent feature, but you're really hoping to land four scatters inside the round to upgrade it to the next tier.
Project Iron Curtain (200x Buy): This is where the real potential lies. The big difference here is that the symbols you turn into Wilds stay in the collection for the rest of the bonus. Every new respin chain starts with your previously collected symbols already acting as Wilds. It took until the eighth spin to collect three symbol types for a 9x hit. However, you can easily see how this progressive build-up is the key to hitting big wins if you get on a hot streak.

The Max Win & Final Thoughts
The progressive collection in the super bonus is your best shot at the game's top prize. If you manage to fill the entire board with Wilds, the game instantly awards the 10,000x max win (a full-grid payout trick Hacksaw has used before on games like Red Rascal).
So, how does it stack up? Ghost Vision isn't an official sequel to Decay, but it shares Decay's structure almost beat for beat. The main difference is that it's a bit more wallet-friendly. The grid is smaller (5x5 instead of 6x5), the bonus buys are cheaper (100x/200x vs. 110x/250x), and a BonusHunt spin costs only 2x against Decay's 3x, all while keeping the same 10,000x max win potential.
If you liked Decay but want a slightly cheaper entry point for the features, Ghost Vision is a solid, highly volatile alternative. Just respect the swings, because when it's cold, it's freezing!
