If you've played Onlyplay slots before, their October 2026 release, Gold of Diwali Hold and Win, might feel a bit familiar. It takes a "three-pot" coin collection mechanic and wraps it in a really vibrant, colorful Festival of Lights theme. Its published numbers match a few older Onlyplay titles, but if you enjoy a classic Hold and Win game, it's still worth a look.

Gold of Diwali Hold and Win base game on a 5x3 board, lotus wilds, golden elephants and a blue coin among the symbols, with the Multi, Double and Extra pots above the reels
Coins drop in with the regular symbols and show a value, but in the base game they don't pay. Their only job is to feed the pot of their own colour up top.

How the Game and the Bonus Work

One thing to know right off the bat: there's no bonus buy option here. You have to trigger the feature the old-fashioned way. As you play, colored coins feed into three pots sitting above the reels, red for the "Extra" feature, green for "Multi," and blue for "Double."

A quick heads-up, though: the pots getting visually fuller is just for show. A bursting pot doesn't guarantee a bonus on the next spin; the feature can trigger at any random time. Also, keep in mind that your pot progress is tied to your bet size. If you change your stake, you'll start with fresh, empty pots (though your old ones will be waiting right where you left them if you switch your bet back).

When the bonus finally hits, the regular symbols vanish, leaving only blanks and coins worth between 1x and 10x your bet. You get standard respins where any new coin resets the clock, but the real fun comes from which pot triggered the round, as each brings a special twist:

  • Red (Extra): Gives you four respins instead of three, and every new coin puts the counter back to four rather than three.
  • Green (Multi): Drops random multipliers onto the grid. If a coin lands on one, its value gets boosted. These multipliers can even grow while they sit empty, which is a nice touch.
  • Blue (Double): This one opens up a second, completely separate 5x3 grid, giving you twice the real estate to land coins.

During the bonus, you can also land fixed jackpots: a Mini (15x), Minor (30x), or Major (100x). If you get lucky enough to fill all 15 spots on a grid, you'll walk away with the 1,000x Grand Jackpot.

Hold and Win bonus board with the Extra and Multi pots active, a x5 cell under a coin top left and an empty top-right cell that has grown to x4
With Multi active, a multiplier cell can keep growing while it sits empty, here from x2 to x4. It only pays if a coin actually lands on it before the respins run out.

How It Compares to Other Slots

To be totally transparent, Gold of Diwali's published figures aren't new. It lists the same 95.50% RTP and 2,997x max win as older Onlyplay games like Easter Treasure Hunt, 3 Hell Pots, and Golden Kiwi. Whether it plays the same under a new theme, those figures alone can't tell you.

When you compare it to the wider slot market, the math is a bit on the lighter side. The three-pot format is incredibly popular right now, and other studios offer versions with a bit more punch. For example, Betsoft's 3 Pots of Venice and Evoplay's 3 Flaming Clovers use very similar mechanics but offer higher max wins (up to 10,000x), slightly better RTPs (around 96.20%), and the option to just buy directly into the bonus round.

Gold of Diwali Hold and Win is a decent, straightforward slot. It definitely isn't new, and the lack of a bonus buy might frustrate players who just want to skip to the action. However, not everyone wants a bonus buy, and the modifiers in the bonus round are genuinely fun when they hit. It's a perfectly fine game to spend some time with.
