Thunder Crown Dice is Endorphina's September 2026 release, a 5x5 line slot that puts casino dice where a classic machine would put fruit. On paper it shares its board, its 2,400x max win and its medium volatility with the studio's Thunder Crown.
Matching figures usually aren't much to write home about, but Endorphina did something really unusual here: they set the RTP (Return to Player) at a high 98.05%. Against Thunder Crown's listed 96.05%, that is a big gap and the biggest reason to give this one a spin.

The Base Game: No Bonus Buys Allowed
Fair warning for modern slot players: there is no bonus buy option here. You have to trigger the features the old-fashioned way, which means you'll be spending a lot of time in the base game.
Fortunately, because it's a medium-volatility slot with 50 paylines, the base game isn't too harsh. You'll see a lot of smaller wins, though over my 225 rounds they paid back about half of what went in. For example, landing a bunch of low-paying yellow dice with an expanded wild might net you 18x your bet across a bunch of different paylines. It's not life-changing money, but it keeps the session going while you wait for a bonus.

Free Spins & The "Blind" Trigger
There are two features to chase. The first is a standard Free Spins round (triggered by three or more Star scatters), which gives you 10 to 20 spins. There are no multipliers here, which is a bit of a bummer, but you are guaranteed a Crown Wild on every single spin. The wild only lands on the middle three reels and expands vertically. It doesn't guarantee a win, but it definitely creates a lot of near-miss excitement and decent line extensions.
The main event, however, is the Thunder Hold bonus.
This triggers completely at random. A token will land on a die, shoot up into the crown above the reels, and either trigger the bonus or do nothing. There's no meter to fill, and missing a token doesn't increase your chances for the next one. It's a true "blind trigger." Some players love the surprise of this, but if you're the type who likes to see a bonus meter slowly filling up, this mechanic might frustrate you.

The Hold-and-Win Feature (Where the Game Shines)
When the Thunder Hold bonus does trigger, the game shifts to a 24-space grid shaped like a diamond (columns of 4, 5, 6, 5, and 4).
It plays like a standard hold-and-win: you get three respins that reset every time a sticky die lands (worth 1x to 30x your bet). But what I actually really like about this game is the column prize structure.
In some of Endorphina's other hold-and-win games (like Bazaar Monkey or 3 Golden Chests), you have to fill the entire screen to get the 1,000x top prize. Here, you just have to fill a specific column. Filling the outer columns gets you 50x, the inner columns get you 200x, and filling the 6-space center column gets you the 1,000x prize. It feels much more forgiving. If you manage to fill the whole board, you get all the column prizes combined (1,500x) plus the value of the dice, which comes to 2,220x even at the top x30 values, so the game's 2,400x max win needs line or free-game wins on top.
Endorphina has been pumping out a lot of dice-themed slots lately, and next to 3 Coin Towers Dice at 96.05% or Fortune Chests Dice at 96.08%, Thunder Crown Dice stands out on its return.

Pros
- That 98.05% RTP is incredibly high for a modern slot.
- The 2,400x max win is solid for a medium-volatility game.
- You don't need a full screen to hit the 1,000x jackpot in the bonus round.

Cons
- Its board, max win and volatility match Thunder Crown's.
- The completely random bonus trigger can test your patience.
- No bonus buy option.
If you don't mind grinding the base game and you want a higher printed return than most slots offer, this one is definitely worth checking out.
