About Great Golden Buffalo Slot
Wait, the standard Wild only works in the base game here. Land it on a winning line and it substitutes for everything except the two scatters, same as a thousand other slots. The twist is what happens when free spins start: that Wild vanishes from the reel set entirely. In its place, an Expanding Wild shows up, but only ever on reel 2 or reel 4. When it lands, it stretches to fill the whole reel top to bottom. Two of them on the same spin and you're looking at columns 2 and 4 fully wild on a 15-line grid, which is where the bigger free spin pays come from.
Two different scatters, two different bonuses, and they don't share a symbol. The red butte landscape scatter pays free spins at unusually generous counts: 17 for three, 20 for four, 25 for five. That's high for the category, and the trigger repeats inside the round, so 25 spins can keep stacking. The gold coin scatter with the buffalo embossing is a separate trigger entirely. Three or more anywhere kicks off a hold-and-respin round: you get 3 spins, only Feature symbols are live, anything that lands sticks, and an Extra Spins symbol resets the counter back up. When the spins run out, every held coin reveals a cash value. No Mini-Minor-Major-Grand structure, no jackpot tier, just direct cash on each symbol.
The hold-and-respin can't fire during free spins, which is a deliberate fence. You pick one bonus path per trigger. There's also a BUY SUPER SPINS button parked on the left of the cabinet for anyone who'd rather skip the base game entirely.
The art sits firmly in Great Plains buffalo territory. The whole cabinet floats over golden grasslands at sunset, mountain silhouettes on either side, sky shading from peach into deeper orange. Reels are held inside a bevelled gold frame against that prairie. Mid-pay symbols run through the local fauna - brown bison, grizzly, a horse with white markings, a dark wolf - while the premium is a glowing yellow-gold buffalo that doubles as the base Wild. Royals are bold colored letters with little gold crowns perched on top, the same crown style Genii uses across several other titles even though this one isn't part of that series. A genuinely active page on the provider's own site too, which is rare for their back catalogue and probably tells you something about where they think this one sits.
