About Hey Sushi Slot

The multiplier counter sits visibly at the top right of the cabinet showing four steps: x1, x2, x3, x5. That ladder is the entire reason the cascades matter. Every winning combination clears its symbols off the grid, new icons drop down to fill the empty positions, and the counter advances one rung. The first cascade after a paid spin pays at x1, the second at x2, the third at x3, and the fourth and any subsequent ones at the capped x5. The chain breaks the moment a fresh drop produces no payline hit, and the ladder resets to x1 for the next paid spin. There's no incremental gain past the fourth tier, which means a long chain isn't quite as runaway as the visible ladder suggests, but stringing four cascades together off a single 12.50 bet still does serious work against the 1,304x ceiling.

The signature design choice is making the Scatter the top-paying symbol. It's the sushi platter icon, and five of them landing anywhere on the reels pays out the 500,000-coin fixed prize at the top of the paytable, which is the headline figure printed on the cabinet artwork. Three or more of those same scatters anywhere on the grid open the free games round, where the cascade ladder carries forward but the higher tiers stay available longer through the bonus. The Wild substitutes for everything except the Scatter, no separate bonus trigger involved. There's no Buy Feature menu on the cabinet and no Super Bet chip either, both of which Habanero added to their kit a couple of years after this one shipped in mid-2020. So the only way into the round is via the scatter trigger on a paid spin.

Art is the part most players will remember. The reels sit in a Japanese sushi bar diorama, framed by traditional red wooden paneling, with a chubby chef character peeking around the left edge of the cabinet in white kitchen whites and a red bandana. Hanging paper lanterns and a glowing orange "24h" neon sign on the right tell you this place is open all night. Symbol art is high-resolution food photography styled into illustration: maki rolls cross-sectioned to show the rice and avocado fillings, nigiri with salmon and tuna slices laid over rice ovals, gunkan boats packed with roe. Card royals 9 through A get the Japanese calligraphy treatment on red dish-shaped backings. Bamboo decoration runs down the right side of the cabinet, and the wordmark at the top combines bold Japanese-restaurant-style serif lettering with a sushi-roll ornament tucked into the negative space.
